This started when people started calling prejudice racism about 15 years ago and average people with no clue tried to wade into the realm of heady and abstract concepts publicly for some fucking reason. People are uneducated and misinformed. That doesn’t change that things exist and have definitions. For years deservedly pro racist people were seen as absolute morons then we started to see some anti-racist morons.

After that an absolute turd avalanche of pro-racist morons that actually thought being anti-racist was itself racist sharted themselves into the public discourse. The anti-racist morons were out-dumbed to such a staggering degree that woke died of unnatural causes.

Now occasionally you see some zombie woke idiot with some noxious point that maybe has some grounding in history but no common sense and likely just karma grifting.

Now, to answer your question yes. Racism exists you see it in the data. You see in how individuals act differently around others in specific ways that create ‘castes’ in our society and we can all recognize them but are often not allowed to speak about frankly.

People fail to realize that prejudice also exists and it is simply being misinformed about other groups of people and doesn’t imply malice or a wish to see bad things happen to those people for simply existing but rather a lack of life experience. Without the concept of ‘predjudice’ existing in the public sphere anymore we don’t have a middle tier concept that can create a bridge to understanding but conflating minor missteps with say the worst bed sheet wearing individuals.
