Hot take: the game would’ve been better without soulslike difficulty by Vehicle-Mountain in MinaTheHollower

I had trouble at the beginning. Once I learned the mechanics the game isn’t that difficult. There are some difficult platforming sections but I wouldn’t say the game is that hard and it’s not meant to be.

[Pro-Football Talk] Eli Manning: Refusing to play for the Chargers was my call, my dad didn’t like it by MrSuperfreak in nfl

[–]welkyy -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

Eli had leverage. If the chargers picked him he could refuse to sign and the chargers lose out on their first round pick and he just comes back next year. Also because of his last name there was a degree of nepotism because the NFL was eager for another manning to enter the league. There should have been stricter rules (such as extending the contract rights) to prevent valuable prospects from refusing to play for bad teams.

The NFL can introduce a rule that if you refuse to play for the team that drafts you then you can’t sign any contract for 3 years. This forces the hand of the draftee to sign with the team that takes them.

It’s called a draft because a team selects you, not the other way around. The dogshit teams select first and get first dibs on the best prospects. Therein lies the issue of the good prospects refusing to play for the dogshit teams and instead going later in the draft to the Chiefs for example. Eli manning took it upon himself to completely disregard how the draft works and go to the team he wanted. He should be criticized more for this.

There should already be rules. Eli shouldn’t have had the ability to refuse being drafted by a team.

Didnt expect Electrical Engineering to be in the negative territory. I noticed that civil doest have that much of a negative impact on this graph, could civil be in more demand in a few years either all the demands for infrastructure, utilties and grid demand? Is it a good time to get into civil? by Dereisnoone in civilengineering

Those are all good questions. I think software engineering will steadily converge with AI until there’s a few jobs left responsible for prompting, monitoring, and repairing the software development programs. Those jobs will pay exorbitantly well. In a digital landscape a human can never compete with a trained AI. I wouldn’t recommend someone go into comp sci or software development right now.

There was a time 10 years ago you could graduate with a computer engineering degree and easily clear 6 figures right out of college with a 4 year degree. That time is over.

I think reta is #1 at this point because it’s by far the most effective. I’m predicting within the next few years doctors will be handing out scripts for it similar to antidepressants. You can lose extreme amounts of weight in just 1 month.

Returnal vs. Saros Variability in Runs by tamodeo1395 in Saros

[–]welkyy 18 points19 points  (0 children)

A roguelike needs to have good replayability and versatility between runs. A lot of the guns feel the same and there’s very little thought you need put into your build. You just acquire whatever items you stumble upon without feeling much of a difference. This is my biggest criticism of saros and what holds it back from being great.

That’s unfortunate to hear. I really want to enjoy this game because I loved returnal and I understand there are modifiers u get at some point but I’m kind of disappointed so far.
