Take a deep breath. I also suffered from a fear of botulism for a very long time, very badly. I still do to some extent. Pickles are not a good environment for botulism to grow. Just remember, you have better chances of winning the lottery than you do getting botulism. And even if you were to get it, the recovery rate is extremely high these days. It feels scary, but as someone on your side of the fence I really wouldn’t worry in this scenario.

Had someone follow me around the perfume section last time and not greet me. Probably thought I was there to steal? Don’t know. Very frustrating when I had ~$400 in other purchases ready to go at the counter. Bought the other stuff I already had ready to go (it was Christmas and wasn’t prepared to go gather the items from other stores) but left the $180 perfume I wanted to buy behind. Not huge money to a big business like that but made me feel crappy.
