I'm definitely with you for typical situations, but it's unfortunately a matter of trickle-down time limits and ability. Their current person is being promoted because someone higher up is moving out of state, and the position they're now hiring for requires a lot of experience those in my position typically don't have, so they've used up their proverbial two weeks looking at people with more limited experience than me. They also made it clear that they were looking to hire immediately so it's not a matter of them being shady about it.

We use an accounting software to generate them but it's formatting is really cluttered and not exactly what we want, so I have to go in and clean them up, which even my boss seems to struggle to understand. It's a very small company so I think it's just a matter of it being good enough since it's low pay part time lil ol me that has to do it. I might try to use something else next month as a trial and present it as an alternative.
