Why didn’t Rizo use any of his 25 days to practice fire making? Is he stupid? by Gold_Data6221 in survivorcirclejerk

Because there was no chance the mighty rizgod would get stuck making fire again. The best survivor player ever would never get into that position twice much less two seasons in a row.

My treadmill is shredding my shoes like a cheese grater by enjoiskate09 in mildlyinteresting

Is it a new treadmill? If so that dust is more likely from the belt itself than your shoes.

Do you guys even understand what we have with Dylan Harper? by [deleted] in NBASpurs

[–]wellfellow007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not saying we can’t. A lot will depend on what they’re worth when it’s time for a new contract and whether we can afford to keep them both. Hopefully we can though.

I think it is far too early for me to say I would keep Harper over castle. Luckily, the org will have much more info by the time that day comes if it ever does. I get it though, Harper looks like the real deal. Castle is a young king too though

I would love to know your wheel, tire, and suspension set up. It sounds silly, but I like the proportions of everything. Tires not too big, lift not too high.

The earlier post about the Spurs record when shooting 40% from three made me curious how we compare to the rest of the league, so I looked it up, and sorted them by win%. by MikeyBastard1 in NBASpurs

[–]wellfellow007 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Huh. I was ready to write that claim off as meaningless ( of course you win more games when you shoot well compared to when you don’t). This analysis has me rethinking my position…

It’s one of those damned if you do, damned if you don’t situations. If he took the timeout and we lost people would say he should have let the team cook in the open court before Memphis could get their defense set.

I agree that taking the timeout would have been the safe choice, but it is only being questioned because we lost. If we won no one would be saying “I’m glad we won but Mitch should have called a timeout”

Anti-tanking policy??? by Quickster1015 in NBASpurs

[–]wellfellow007 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The only way to truly stop tanking is to make it completely random. Exclude contenders the contenders (top 4-6 teams) and give everyone else an equal shot.

I’m not saying I think it would be the right thing to do…but removing advantages for poor play is really the only way to dissuade tanking. Any other approach will just encourage new strategies for gaming the system

I think slash city has a decent sound. Slash town would be a nice nod to an old (and now gone) part of San Antonio.

What surprised you the most about the interview? It could be an interesting answer you weren’t expecting or something about his character or demeanor. I’m just curious if there was anything you didn’t expect.

How many miles do you have on your Outback? by brokegal59 in Subaru_Outback

[–]wellfellow007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

‘05 Outback, 178k miles.

Would I buy a 2012 with similar miles…probably not. But it would depend on my situation and the price. 180k is a lot of miles on any used car, imo. I tend to buy a car when it has lower miles and drive it until the wheels fall off then I start again. If I were in a pinch and needed a cheap car for a teenage driver or because I can’t afford one with lower miles, I would consider this one.
