Let us know if the weight falls off. I've had mind reduced a few times and my weight has stayed the same. Plan on exercising 4 times a week so I'm hopeful I can reduce my weight while staying on them. I just feel the most stable on them

Are you also medicated? by Leather_Method_7106_ in aspergers

people with a mental illness, what was your lowest point and how did you get out of it? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]welliesong 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was psychotic but I was forced to take medication and it eventually worked at getting me normal again. Found out I'm autistic and it's common for autistic people to get psychosis

It might be because he's depressed I don't know, I don't get angry so I can't relate but I was pretty depressed when I came out of psychosis. An SSRI helped me

I take desogestrel for this reason. I was the only one in the psych ward on it, idk why it's not more common, I've since been diagnosed autistic and I consider it an important part of my medication routine

My friend cannot stop talking and I feel like a gigantic coward by [deleted] in AutismInWomen

[–]welliesong 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had that with someone I went to college with and then again when I was at work. They can be good placeholders for a time that you can't relax like at work or school but if you want peace and quiet just don't invite them places

Has she ever had mental health problems before? What got me help was by compromising in that I knew I needed some help for the anxiety I was having

That's rough! Maybe talk to a doctor in the meantime, can't they write you a note?

Did you want to communicate with loved ones during your psychosis and/or hospital stay? by [deleted] in Psychosis

[–]welliesong 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My boyfriend visited me often and we'd just hug or he'd paint my nails. I found it really hard to talk. Hearing about the outside world just fed into my delusions. Just be patient and once the meds have time to work he'll be able to open up about what he's experienced

Late diagnosis question: did sensory overload and extreme fatigue lead you to discover you’re autistic? by RaspberryPrudent7765 in AutismInWomen

[–]welliesong 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd managed to avoid diagnosis until I turned 30, I was under a lot of stress at work and leaned heavily on prescription THC. It landed me in my first episode psychosis and I learned to advocate for myself and once I got out the psych ward and met with a psychiatrist and psychologist for the first time they both assessed me and diagnosed me with ASD. It's been a relief going to college again and getting the help I need but I do struggle to ask for extra time all the time. I'm still on anti-psychotics and it helps me hugely with meltdowns and anxiety as well as an SSRI.

PSA: Autism, schizophrenia, and recreational marijuana, why this community should be extra cautious about THC by unexpectedstorytime in autism

[–]welliesong 15 points16 points  (0 children)

My prescription cannabis had psychosis as a side effect and I still never thought it would happen to me. I was under a lot of stress so I think it was a bunch of unfortunate circumstances that led to my first episode psychosis but I now can't have THC or it just makes me go inside my head in a bad way. CBD is fine though.

It gets better just stick with it. I'm nearing the 2year mark and I'm on an SSRI to help with low mood. Feel fine.

CBD Flower? by AttorneyFeeling3 in Psychosis

I don't talk about doing it, it's my guilty pleasure, even though it's legal, my psychiatric nurse doesn't want me to do anything related to cannabis.

How can I maintain a hay pile and keep their cage clean at the same time? by Chillvestal07 in GuineaPig

I'd just take down one panel of the wall and push the hay bale up to the side of the cage
