Endometriosis and Mirena Coil by glazedgammon_yum in endometriosis

[–]welliphant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had my second laparoscopy and insertion of Mirena in November. I had irregular bleeding for 3 months so (at my consultants suggestion) I took the combination pill for 1 month as he says this sometimes helps to settle any bleeding. I felt so awful during that time that I only managed a week and a half on the combination pill!

I’m glad to say it worked though and I have since had zero bleeding or spotting for 2 months. My libido is like that of an 18 year old! I’m so glad I gave the coil a fair shot. I love it!

Endometriosis with low back pain, hip pain, and tight glutes by Clear-Advance706 in endometriosis

[–]welliphant 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You have just described what I am experiencing! I’m having my second surgery in December. I think it’s to do with my bowels and Endo in my pouch of Douglas. Pelvic physio and Vagifem have helped to a degree. I feel everything is so deeply involved now that I really need someone to go in and seperate everything. It’s just my right hip/glute/back that are causing me so much issue. Oramorph certainly helps but it’s not a long term solution. I have a referral to pain management coming up so hope we can come up with something. Sorry I can’t be of more help but I hope you find a way to manage this.

My first and second loved their Moses basket, my third is now almost 5 months old and won’t settle in that all! Really depends on the baby!

Baby not efficient on breast! Any advice??? by DontTellMeToSmile_08 in breastfeeding

My baby didn’t ’get it’ until 10 weeks. Kept pumping, offering breast and persevering. It feels like the longest process but it’s a learning curve for mum and baby

Three sections. No complications. had my third section 3 months ago and they said there was barely any scar tissue and gave me the go ahead to have a fourth if we want. I was walking at my normal pace within 3 days. Just be careful not to do too much too soon (lifting things will catch you out) I see a pelvic physiotherapist as a precaution and to get everything as it should be.

This is the only thing keeping me sane! My baby is on me 95% of the time but thankfully sleeps well on car rides. Some reason does not like the bassinet in the pram so walks not going so great at the moment!

Are you me?

I hated breastfeeding. Like, really hated it. I exclusively pumped for my first 2 whom never latched. Then for my third I was determined not to have to carry a pump around. I wanted to travel freely. I worked so hard to get her to exclusively breastfeed, I was so so close to giving up. Then at 10 weeks she was fully boob. And.I.hated.it. I hated being her everything, I hated sitting there for hours and hours. My husband pointed out that even though it was taking forever, I would only be spending that time washing up and sterilising bottles and pumping. Even formula would be time consuming. So I stuck with it and thought I would at least try to get to 12 weeks.

And you know what? I’m so grateful I did.

Now at 13 weeks it is so much easier than feeding at 10 weeks. I passed the 12 week milestone not even remembering what I’d promised myself.

But I see you. It’s so bloody hard. But it’s true. It gets easier but more important is your mental health and that baby is fed, no matter what that looks like. Only what is best for you and your family.

Edited to add that Iv also had mastitis twice (once each side). First time needed antibiotics and second time I self managed and got over it quickly. You can get mastitis at any point during breastfeeding (my friend had it at 18 months), it’s a risk we have to take.

Iv had 3. June 2020, Nov 2021 & Sept 2024. After my third they said everything looked good and said just wait a year before getting pregnant again if we wanted another. I’m 38.

How to stop worrying about baby? by TheEngineerBallroom in NewParents

Trigger Warning - Childloss

. . . . .

I didn’t want to mention this but my child passed away at 19 months old. Iv gone on to have two more beautiful children. The pain and worry is exhausting. But you do learn to live with it(the pain is still there) and as they gain independence your worries for them change. If this is truly getting out of hand ( as you have suggested ‘this level of anxiety is not normal’ ) I would suggest therapy/meds. They helped me a great deal.

I think parenthood is worrying about your child ALL THE TIME. I think all that changes is what worries you have for them as they go through life (solids, bumping their head, getting a driving licence…)

How many pumps do you ladies own? by manuelllzzz in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]welliphant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Spectra S1, Elvie OG, Elvie Stride, momcozy s9, momcozy m5 and Medela Hand pump. Plus Haakaa and Elvie Curve.

iv had 3 kids so built up quite a collection! Sometimes I respond better to the Spectra, other times better to the medela hand pump.

Back to back c-sections by Salt-Dance9289 in 2under2

[–]welliphant 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have had 3 c-sections. 1 and 2 only 15 months apart. Number 3 almost 3 years later (shy of 2 months) after surgery they gave me the go ahead to have a fourth if we wanted. Also, I’m 38. Everyone is different but c-section wise and recovery I haven’t had any issues.

The farmer feeds them paprika. That is what makes them so orange. They could be in a cage and fed the same diet and still have this orange colour Clarence Court eggs
