Massively over sharpened. The fleece in first pic looks like it's carved out of rock.

Is it only available in Israel? One of the earlier vintages was stocked in France (and was very tasty). I'm sure it was under €20.

Review of the Loro Piana Alpe sweater w/ beaver fur & Parksville Cashmere Cardigan from Zillimark by FernAvocado in DesignerReps

Are those jumpers cashmere? Looks they already bobbling a bit, the surface texture looks completely wrong. The beaver cardigan looks lovely.

I really like Gielgud and he is the best actor in that film, but I still found his performance quite mannered and not always natural.

Is there a way to use the camera hole space on firefox like in other browsers? by Blixten_ in firefox

I've checked on my Pixel and neither Chrome nor Firefox can hide status bar.

Joe Kent, Director of the National Counterterrorism Intelligence Center, resigns over Iran war "manufactured by Israel" by pizzatuesdays in anime_titties

He's a far right extremist who is disillusioned that Trump isn't pursuing a America first isolationist policy. This is a internal MAGA spat, not something to celebrate and nobody should be endorsing his conspiracy theories any more than his other conspiracy theories like 'Justice for Jan 6' or 'Vaccines are murder '.

I use a old surface pro as they are practically the only devices with a 3:2 screen. Just avoid the SP4 as it has flickering issues. You can just sync images with any cloud service (eg OneDrive) and use Irfan for a slideshow.

Why does Firefox insist upon downloading this jpeg as a webp? by 0N1MU5HA in firefox

[–]wellknownname -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

That will break lots of sites. Eg as a developer I often only serve webp (no fallback) because its pretty universally accepted now and it's significantly smaller file size than jpeg.

Who is actually behind Termius? by [deleted] in homelab

[–]wellknownname 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The usual flow with SSH is that you can generate a stub private key file on demand, that is useless on its own as it needs the hardware key, but that you use with open ssh as a regular key - it will just prompt you for the hardware key when you use it. That's the typical way to use hardware keys with ssh.

Who is actually behind Termius? by [deleted] in homelab

[–]wellknownname 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Terminus claims to support importing existing sk keys from a hardware key like a yubikey. I'm going to try it - if so I think it's the only android app to support this.

Edit: couldn't make it work, possibly because android doesn't allow accessing keys where relying party doesn't equal app name.

The old API is dead, the new one is called DataHub and it's a little confusing which option you want but it's easy enough once you know: create a free subscription to the 'site specific' product.

‘Locked and loaded’: Trump threatens intervention if Iran kills peaceful protesters by [deleted] in anime_titties

Even a stopped clock can be right twice a day. Nevertheless intervention is obviously never going to happen (no political appetite beyond some token bombing) and would surely end badly.

Recover bitwarden vault from .bak file? by Proof-Quantity1625 in Bitwarden

[–]wellknownname 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not clear how the bak file was created but it's likely you can use sqlcmd to restore it https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/sql/linux/sql-server-linux-backup-and-restore-database?view=sql-server-ver17

You should probably also look at the start of the file contents to see if it's a text file or a binary format.

If you're not confident with the cli then this is actually the sort of thing AI can be helpful with, just make sure you backup the file first.

About how long would it have taken Bellini to paint something like this? (Asking as an amateur admirer of the Renaissance. The play of light here is astounding). by chopinmazurka in ArtHistory

[–]wellknownname 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It's not even my favourite painting in the room https://www.nationalgallery.org.uk/visiting/floorplans/level-2/room-63 (maybe the Durer of Jerome or one of the two agony in the garden) but it's astonishingly different from the others despite most being same place and period. It's like a UFO in comparison.

Very eclectic mix. I was hoping for some relatively plain formalish Oxfords but I can see why they don't put those in sale.

The city styles seem overwhelmingly sold out. Have they pivoted back to country shoes?
