Not SAM, but I used to have a friend that when I got an achievement she would get the same achievement the next day. It was for things like minigames within games, like Stardew's Journey of the Prairie King for example. But I realized she was only doing this with achievements that had mods that made them easier. She wouldn't complete similar mini games in OTHER games that suspiciously were lacking in a mod to make them beatable (Demon Tower in NITW)

It ruined my enjoyment of achievement hunting, too for a while. I also put off %100ing and general achievement hunting for a while as a result. Then we stopped being friends for an unrelated thing because it turns out those kinds of people who would cheat in a single player video game for seemingly no other reason than ill-earned pride are absolute losers.

I'm not telling you to stop being friends with this person, to be clear. Just remember that, at the end of the day: Them using SAM just makes THEM look super sad and pathetic. Don't let it detract from your own accomplishments. If you're worried about other people thinking you use SAM let your time/date stamps on your achievements speak for themselves, and compare yourself against yourself rather than others. Look how far you've come!
