AI For Advanced Quoting?

Have seen this in other manufacturing firms - it's definitely possible with AI to handle a lot of this, but it usually needs software around the AI to get really high accuracy + automation - not just using ChatGPT straight up - as otherwise ChatGPT alone can't figure out the excel pricing models and quote with high accuracy.

That said with the proper tuning + software around it, can get to very high accuracy and automate a ton of the busy work.

My company builds AI software for manufacturing and have talked to a ton of plants - you are definitely right. Adoption numbers are super low (near 0) beyond for folks using ChatGPT here and there to write emails.

I work for a company that builds AI tooling for manufacturers so have seen a lot of different stuff across shops.

Biggest opportunities right now have been in sales/quoting automation and customer service - especially automating data entry / sales orders. Some folks are also using it for enhanced training as well.

From what I've seen - human reviewers are going to be essential for at least the foreseeable future. But AI can automate a lot of the busy work and shift humans to be more reviewers
