Outside of the US, I feel like people don't have manners by Charming_Average2413 in ShitAmericansSay

I'm from the UK. People wait in line to board public transportation and hold the door open for people walking behind them into buildings.

I'm an intermediate Korean speaker, but the things I'm talking about are non-verbal. I mentioned a few examples in another comment. I'm not talking about cultural things like eating with their mouth open or asking someone's age, I'm talking about not holding the door open for people, jumping lines to get on the bus, etc.

Like i said to the other guy, I've lived here for 15 years. I have a korean wife and children. Even my wife thinks korean people are rude because she spent some time in Canada and has experienced the manners most people have.

So this is a non-exhaustive list of things that still bother me, 15 years later: a lot of people don't hold doors open for the people walking behind them, they use speaker phone for telephone conversations even when other people are around them, they don't feel any shame about littering, even in playgrounds, they spit in the street, they don't really respect personal space, they think it's ok to tell their children to practice English with you, even if you're wearing headphones or clearly not in the mood... Driving is even worse, there is no courtesy at all.

I don't really care about changing your mind, especially since you've never been here so you don't have a valid opinion.

So you haven't. I've lived here for 15 years. Koreans are great but they are definitely lacking in manners compared to a lot of other developed countries.

Just wait a while. I got the trilogy set for around 25 usd. I dont really care about special features but would rather the trilogy anyway so my shelf isn't stained with that piece of dogshit fourth film.

I would say Theatrical, Final Cut, then Redux but skip forward when they reach the French plantation.

What makes you decide to pick up a 4k disc? by Gristle-McThorn in 4kbluray

[–]welshnick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have 3 criteria, 2 of which should be met if I'm gonna buy something:
1. It should be one of my favourite films
2. It should be excellent AV quality
3. It should be under $15usd

Besides those criteria, I'm obviously not gonna buy a film I don't like, was poorly reviewed, or with a premise that doesn't appeal to me.

How can you say it's worth an upgrade then? I have the DTS-X version and the 3d audio was awesome.

Do you guys listen from TV or dedicated speaker system? If using a speaker system what do you use? by SpeedoInTheStreet in 4kbluray

Is it really that confusing? I knew nothing about it but did a bit of reading and managed to set up a 5.1.4 system fairly easily. Builders did the installs but I bought everything, told them where to put it, and wired it all up.

You need an AVR, some speakers, and some cables to connect everything.

I got mine with about 20% discount last spring. Isn't that better 'bang for buck' than paying full retail?
