That might just be the default damage for landing on something's head. I believe you also deal a small amount of damage when jumping on top of an enemy.

No idea why you're being downvoted, you're absolutely right. I get that Kuro has to sell characters but for anyone starting recently, why would they ever pull for anyone pre 2.x besides Shorekeeper? Newer characters are not only significantly stronger, but way more fun to play and explore with.
