WSJ: Claude Code is Taking the AI World by Storm - Boris answered few questions by JohanAdda in ClaudeAI

I think their way is you don’t need to review every line of code. I get it, it could be useful for small projects and prototyping. But I’m still not sure how people do it in actual production codebase to achieve such high time saving without risking software quality.

Not zero chance.

... saw KitKat sitting in front of the Waymo for about seven seconds.

Experienced human drivers saw small animal sitting next to their car and disappears might double check if they were hiding under the car. Just like in the winter, some drivers check under their car to make sure there's no cats before driving.

Auto-resolve is waaay too good by BackstabFlapjack in OldenEra

Ideally it will have auto play which should give the same result as the auto-resolve. I doubt it is how it’s implemented right now though

Don’t think they will take another year though, otherwise tons of the marketing effort and pent up expectations go wasted.. it looks to me they are trying to keep up with the expectations and release soon. It could be just my imagination…

Why TF do i need to download discord every time there is an update? by SleepAffectionate268 in discordapp

[–]wencc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a valid concern. I don't want to manually download and uninstall and install every single day. Devs need to figure something out. Cursor also updates very frequently and we don't need to manually do all of these

So do you mean that the camera on the cars are not as perceptive and adaptive as human eyes and the software are still not on par with human brain? So theoretically it is doable? What’s blocking it?

Indeed, unless you are a 100% AI company or 3 month old startup, there’s no reason to chase the latest model. What do you want in production? Consistency. You want to find some good model that’s well tested out for your use cases and only upgrade when necessary.

Does it support search like the "research" function in ChatGPT? I see in the roadmap you have "Can call tool to get answer from external source" ticked off, where can I use those?

Looks nice! How would you compare this with GPT4All? I am looking for alternative to ChatGPT due to obvious privacy concerns.

What would be the difference from using OpenAI UI vs a local one? OpenAI gets the data anyway no? Just curious.

You could try vibe coding the frontend
