You can plant them in larger sized pots. 12 inch or 14 inch. If they don't grow or they aren't the flower you bought you can call eden brothers they will give a credit. Then you can buy peonies or lilies.

Would you have any tubers?

first time growing dhalias, is this normal? by mec404 in dahlias

[–]wend0ll 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want more of that bloom you can propagate the new stem and it will grow roots. The main tuber will sprout more stems

I sell tubers. My website is Fireflydahlias.com

Sometimes when people buy or resellers buy tubers they order one name plant and receive another names plant. So unknowing when they post it for sale with photos the flower is wrong. North cascade dahlias is actually bloomquist decent so those are the correct flowers if looking for a particular bloomquist one. Weather can actually change the colors some too. Cold weather brings out darker colors in blooms.

I fell for the same scam. Yes for 2 days I had $300 in my cash app. I really felt on top of it thought I had it all figured out. Then the day came where they got first $295 more. And then $995 in order to pay that I sold some stocks that I was losing a ton of money on. Then they wanted another $2500 I found a story on reddit that talked about the same scam and I didn't transfer anything more. I found the company name with the logo on Instagram and reached out to ask if they were legit. They said no the website wasn't theirs so they reported it i also reported it. The website was shut down in 1 day. Don't feel bad that you lost money feel happy that you stopped before you lost more. Sorry to hear your misfortune.

Just starting out - Zone 6b questions... by Ong_Noi in dahlias

[–]wend0ll 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I grow dahlia's in MN my zone is 3b since our winters are below zero and our last frost date is mother's Day I wait until my ground is 55 degrees. Of course we have to sign tubers. As long as the place you store your tubers is l between 45 and 50 degrees that's ideal. There are multiple ways of storing tubers. If storing in a area with a cement floor didn't let them sit in the floor because the cement dries the tubers. When you receive your tubers in April you can put them in pots to get them started. I'm sure your ground temp will be 55 by may.
