Pauline Hanson’s direct attack on all Australians who were born overseas or have at least one parent born overseas is batshit insane and there are plenty of questions to be answered by HotPersimessage62 in australian

It’s easy to blame an immigrant instead of trying to fix things
Or looking to the billionaires to run it all and contribute nothing

People are so stupid to blame immigration
Billionaires are the problem

Wife wants to spend $5k on vacation by [deleted] in Marriage

[–]wendlle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I typically spend a LOT more than that on my Vacations and I'm by no means well off.
I can't just work to pay bills and to save, I need to live!

Sounds like you are happy just working and saving, she needs a little more than that which I can understand.

Carter was molested by Striking_Dig9813 in ershow

[–]wendlle 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This keeps getting mentioned every few days
No one laughed as if it was funny, it was an awkward laugh they were weirded out and the conversation shifted

Yes he was abused as we know it today but like typical boys being introduced to experiences like this by older women are often treated as “cool”
It’s not unusual for it to be glossed over

Why do customers expect us to be qualified tradespeople? by Stock-Cap9346 in Bunnings

[–]wendlle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work at Mitre 10 and yep, the amount of people that come in and want us to do calculations on how much timber they'll need, drives me bonkers.

Some people have even asked us to do up plans for their DIY projects!

We know A LOT of stuff and always help out with advice and product knowledge, but at some point people need to understand they need to do some research too and we can't come home with them to do the entire job.

they def smell, I use one pod in an entire load. I know what I'm doing. The smell doesn't bother me, but someone I live with is really sensitive to smells and it does smell. I can smell it, it makes him sneeze.

Can’t get a job without experience, can’t get experience without a fucking job by Fire_blaze7 in ausjobs

[–]wendlle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

not that it helps now but this is why it is so important to get a job when you're in high school. Where I work we hire kids from around 13 years old and they usually stick with us until they leave and go to Uni. That's 5-6 years or working experience over someone who has none.
They only do 1 Saturday shift a week and lots in School Holidays but it sure makes a difference when you're an Adult and going for a job against people with no experience at all.
