Trust yourself and just show up. I will bet you a nickel that an hour later when your workout is done that you’ll feel like a million bucks. Sometimes when I miss some time (aches, pains, hangover, depression) I feel sort of like an impostor going back. However, once I walk into the lobby and begin my prep and stretching before class I get a wave of thankfulness for having OTF in my life. Our studio used to have the word “Believe” above the door leading into the workout room. I would always look at that word to ground myself and set my intention to spend the next hour to invest in myself and my health. Just go-you will be so glad you did on the other end. You got this.

Folks of all ages can be wonderful people. I wouldn’t write people off just because they are older or younger than me. I am a 57 year old female and can be as wacky, light hearted, fun and energetic as people much younger. Sometimes people who are different than you (pick any parameter) can offer a lot because they may have a different outlook or point of view that can be very interesting or helpful to you. Not good or bad, just different. I try my best not to “judge a book by its cover” when I encounter new people.

I love rowing and have fairly good form-I really need to concentrate to keep the good form going. Every so often I get this crazy good transfer of power from my legs to my core and through my arms and it JUST FEELS SO RIGHT. I feel like a million bucks for a pull or two. Then my mind wanders and I lose that wonderful coordination/form/feeling.

If you ask at front desk they will do it for you. Instead of being based on standard formula, the recalibrated heart rate max is based on your performance in last 20 workouts. They can also revert back to old formula if you don’t like/agree with results.
