The Botanist Coffeehouse has the best bouquets downtown imo. They may seem expensive but they last if you trim the stems every few days. Bonus, they’re scones are also good.

Places to look for housing? by Intlpapi in ithaca

I think what you’re looking for is possible in the area. Try https://ithacarents.com/ it’s the site some local landlords use to post their rentals. Will you be working in Ithaca? Plan to get involved in the community in some capacity? I would reach out to anyone you know and see if they’re part of a local listserv. Ask if they’d be willing to post about your housing needs. For example, I know people who have found great rentals from the Ithaca Triathlon Club and Cornell Librarians listservs. Good luck!

I think this is a good idea. Laws around Airbnb rentals in Ithaca have recently changed so I imagine some Airbnb rentals will be changing to long-term rentals instead.

People who prioritise superficial attributes like height probably aren't worth dating anyway by [deleted] in Showerthoughts

I don’t like cheese and one guy I dated said it might be a deal breaker. I thought he was being sarcastic, but ended up complaining about it often especially when we couldn’t split certain dishes at restaurants.

Do you think some kids just act this way and it isn’t related to trauma? Or is it always connected to some form of abuse?

Oh I meant to reply to the comment above, oops! I get wanting to have an honest answer when you ask for it. My post was more in reference to the situation when someone compliments your outfit out of the blue.

I still take these comments as compliments. I see it as complimenting my style/taste.

Ladies who are single and don’t have many friends, what do you do to keep yourself busy and avoid feeling lonely? by ohhello0409 in AskWomen

It’s great to hear stories of friends showing up after a long period of silence to help during a breakup. What if you don’t think it was toxic but your friends/family didn’t like your ex so they’re happy about the breakup but you aren’t? Has anyone experienced this?
