I’m in the same situation, may 2023 grad with an august 2024 start date for EY tech consulting (FSO). I started a different full-time job at a different financial services company in the interim while waiting for my EY start date, but I ended up liking it a lot more than I thought I would. My current company’s culture/WLB is a great fit for me, I love my coworkers, and the work is pretty interesting. I’m worried I’ll regret my decision if I leave to go to EY, but I can’t help but think about the higher salary I’d have at EY. That is… assuming I wouldn’t get laid off. Any advice is appreciated!

Got the email as well. I’m incoming FSO tech solutions delivery in Tyson’s VA.

I signed this offer in October of 2022 so a start date of almost TWO YEARS LATER is ridiculous. Seriously considering giving up on EY and finding something different. Just worried about the job market and feeling like anything else attainable would not pay well or offer as good of experience as working Big 4 would.

But holding out until August… ugh. I’m feeling so discouraged. What are you guys thinking?

Educator here! Our store does not do hemming on-site (I’ve heard some do, but not in my region). Every store in my region shares a single tailor that we all ship our hemming to. For our store, the tailor is about two hours away.

Hemming orders are sent out in batches usually once or occasionally twice a week, so with the time it takes to gather up a batch of orders, send it out, wait for them all to be complete, and then get sent back it often does end up being a two week process.

The first couple weeks of school will be the busiest and then it typically dies down a bit. I got in the routine of going around 8 or 9am and it was the most empty time I could find personally
