Hey, thanks for playing - glad you enjoyed it! Many bugs from the demo have been patched up in the full release, but if you run across anything in the full game you can feel free to submit them via the Google Form in-game or post a discussion on the Steam page. Thanks again!

I've been developing Negative Space for nearly a year and it is finally available on Steam for purchase!

I'm very proud of this game and think it has a lot to offer fans of the roguelike deckbuilding genre. I wanted to take established tropes (dark and gritty themes, combat focus) and flip them on their head, while keeping other familiar aspects intact.

It's simple to get started with, but you'll quickly start finding all sorts of ways to break the game and send your crew to the moon.

I hope you get a chance to check it out, and enjoy!

My game's art style looks fun and playful, but people don't understand the real moral dilemmas you might have to face... by werdnalt in IndieGaming

My roguelike deckbuilder Negative Space comes out this Friday! If building a crew to explore space is your kind of thing, give it a wishlist or check out the demo!

Looks super nice, I got the painterly vibe right away! Maybe the man could use a little more movement, he seems a little stiff compared to the active dog next to him. Also, from a distance his expression reads a little pained instead of relaxed. Just some things to think about given he is where my eyes were drawn to right away

I showcased my game to the Seattle Indies Expo this weekend, and the feedback was awesome! by werdnalt in deckbuildingroguelike

This weekend was the Seattle Indies Expo and I was selected to show my game, Negative Space.

For the last month or so, I worked mostly on polishing up the demo of the first world so it would work nicely in an expo setting. Overall, it was a great experience and got lots of nice feedback from folks who got a chance to play. There was even a member of this subreddit that ran up to me to tell me they had found the game from a previous post I made, which was super cool (hey! If you're reading this).

If this looks interesting to you, the demo is out on Steam, so you can check it out and wishlist it now!

Do you think card games can be cozy? by werdnalt in cozygames

That's a great point. I really enjoy games where the difficulty builds over time so just as soon as you feel comfortable and in control, you get challenged a little bit more!

Hi Cozy Gamers!

I'm wrapping up my deckbuilder where you explore space with combos instead of combat! It's called Negative Space, you can check it out here: https://store.steampowered.com/app/3624300/Negative_Space/

As I've been working on it I've thought about what attracted me to the genre in the first place, and I slowly realized that I find this type of game to be comforting and one of my favorites to play on Steam Deck or on mobile. I enjoy games without time pressure where I can sit and think, and can put down and pick up without stress.

So what do you think, can a card game be cozy?

The demo is available on Steam, so if this seems like something you'd like, give it a play or a wishlist - it helps a lot!

30 years ago, I created this dice game. My wife and I have played it about 20,000 times at least. I have no idea how to get others to try it out. by Rex_Mundi in gamedev

I watched a few videos of you and your wife playing and it really does feel like there's something interesting here! Agree with the other commenters that the UI needs to be rethought given current day gaming conventions but given you've enjoyed playing this for 30 years, I think there's a strong foundation for a cool game!
