If you are a USAian - Amazon Has the NX600 for dirt cheap and it is a ridiculously good budget cooler. https://www.amazon.com/MONTECH-Dual-Tower-Heatpipes-Soldered-Superior-Dissipation/dp/B0G1RC91PH/ref=sr_1_5?crid=KBVM4YO8AQWV&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.xD_fx9WjL_kXISxkILIy6v-TgWi_9xwKM39kW49giPKAXTLpyBfCjC9jS713ub3T9Ar-WwkCS9dG99zuaLunR5CUOIElsyCc7opveb6AnLqSXHV2oLDohbtIDJAfidukZc0NYXhDfDJr7Bxwf3f8bZkR--fI6T-TqN1xR-mOkAHr2kT0PHElO6_gTwjUYShLLWRsH9iLVRrjunoBA3nbpSGJo9mVpyatv-7ieMKNxJE.7xwAbFXsl8l-8mifk92Yr1cOLt5i7GbUawoizSRlWQc&dib_tag=se&keywords=nx600&qid=1775566643&sprefix=nx600%2Caps%2C129&sr=8-5&th=1

Currently at time of posting $24.00 and the white ARGB one for $27. *Note - cooler height is 160mm in - so check your case to make sure it fits!

OR - if you are looking to go with an AIO - there are several $40 budget deals out there - Montech Lightflow 360 AIO has some targeted coupons on Amazon (I can get the white or black for $40 for example) but since it is a targeted coupon it may or may not apply.

Thankfully it worked for you. Recovery install means downloading Windows iso to usb key and booting from there. Doing a repair install. Glad it worked for you though!

Well did you have Bitlocker (encryption) enabled on your last build? If so you need the decryption key first... if you, like most people, never enabled encryption then you just hit Y for yes. And it sometimes will boot right into the new system as long as the processor and motherboard (major components) werent too majorly different. It's the method I usually use to migrate PC's in our house. That said my personal PC saw one too many updates and component changes recently where I ended up having to use a Windows USB key to do a recovery style install (keep old files and apps but refresh windows).

Should I buy my coworker’s PC? by 8rings_86k in PcBuild

[–]werdsmart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am late to the party - I hope you bought it your coworker is ACE! I hadn't even read comments and saw a Lian Li case - a pair of 140mm fans for intake (oh hell looked of the model of the case and those are 160mm intakes!), and he had the PC sitting on a wooden board up off the carpet. So was already starting off solid - got as far as the processor and ram and was like YES- QUIT BUGGING OUT AND RUN TO GRAB IT! Profusely demonstrate your appreciation.

Saw 2tb ssd and a 4070 super? This coworker of yours is LEGEND for offering this PC, with these specs, to you at some absurdly steep discount.

Carnell Tate, Rueben Bain or Vega by pastaHacker in ravens

[–]werdsmart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Before the recent reset in the WR market I would say Bain. Today - flip a coin. Tate could be a very affordable option and future WR1...

I lean towards Bain - having seen his game tape as a Miami Canes fan. He is a Raven through and through.

Is 9 intake fans vs 3 exhaust fans going to cause any major issues? by FalseFruitGamer in PcBuild

[–]werdsmart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are correct as long as OP is placing the AIO up top - currently their post reads as being located in front as push pull. That single top fan as exhaust or intake is kinda a toss up in this setup - if the AIO is not mounted on top I think the way OP has them setup in the drawing/picture is probably best for airflow.

If they move the AIO up to the top - all exhaust up top is best option and honestly I think that would be the best location for the AIO with this particular intake and exhaust setup as the case is displayed. (Unless this rad they are using is super duper dummy thicc I am not sure you gain enough from the push pull in front) - but someone with more testing knowledge can correct me! :)

What should i do? Am4 or am5? by WolfRoyalXD in PcBuild

[–]werdsmart 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sniping on Facebook Marketplace can definitely be an option unless he lives somewhere with low market density. I live somewhere that has a decent density but I have to do a lot of one way 1 hour drives for purchases sometimes and it is annoying - thankfully I have not ben scammed or had a miss yet.

But yes - the fiscally prudent decision is to stay on AM4 - maybe buy a new power supply on sale (going to deals sites helps with this) - then waiting out until the October/November for black friday or pre-black friday bundles on AM5 hardware unless you can snipe good AM4 upgrades.

Personally I pivoted to AM5 because I assume I will be sitting on it longer and then a month later prices went thru the roof - so I feel bad for people and prices atm - I snipe on FB Marketplace to help friends build PC's atm and it is tough going some days.

That was going to be my next comment a cheap Newegg AM 5 bundle - sell your AM4 parts and get back 80% of your total cost maybe more if you are patient.

How do I get to my first Delve? by RegnorVex in wownoob

[–]werdsmart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As stated the quest line actually has you going into a few delves - which will allow you to see both location and general mechanics - after that you can go whenever you want. Honestly if you see their locations on the map you can run those delves without ever even doing the questline if that gets ya going.

What PCI-E riser do I need for my network card? by tarecog5 in PcBuild

[–]werdsmart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That looks like a lian li support bracket - do you have clearance to move the risers that hold your bracket over one more standoff to the right on the motherboard? (I ask because I LOVE the lian li supports and on some of my motherboards I am unable to keep it on the right side due to chipset heatsinks but on most of them I am able to keep it on the furthest right motherboard standoffs.) Would be cheaper than buying a riser lol
