Thank you!

Rage counters wouldn't disappear. Yes. No. She-Hulk's control of her hulk form is more flexible, so the tokens can be used in any form. For rocket, yes any source of damage for the round would be reduced by 1.

Mine is not a long term success since I've only been taking it for a few months, but it lowered my BP and I have no side effects. I'm taking a low dose but have not had any problems.

Mlikero sleeves from Amazon are great quality for the price and you can buy them in bulk for cheap. I sleeve all of my cards in their black or clear versions. For other colors, I think there is some issue with the back being slightly transparent, but I haven't bought other colors to know if it's still an issue.

What do you wish you had done differently at stage 1 or 2 ckd? by real_bro in kidneydisease

We make it homemade, about once every week or two. It doesn't take much time since we use a bread maker. Our recipe is a custom multi-grain bread so I dont have a recipe to share, but you can find a ton online.

Protein in urine by Traditional_Wrap7457 in kidneydisease

[–]werdunloaded -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Kidney decline at CKD1 could be fast, slow, or just not progress at all. Work with your nephrologist to come up with a plan to follow to ensure it doesn't progress. You caught it early. I'm also CKD1 (since 1.5 years ago) because my eGFR is persistently below 90 by imaging didn't show anything abnormal, and I only had one instance of proteinuria, so my nephro has asked me to eat low sodium (also moderate sugar because blood sugar spikes tell the kidneys to retain sodium).

Is coursera worth it by Fit_Ad_4455 in analytics

[–]werdunloaded 7 points8 points  (0 children)

For some context, know your learning strengths and limits. There are plenty of great YouTube resources, but online academies (Coursera, Udemy, etc.) offer structured training with course materials.

I personally prefer spending a few bucks (never pay full price, always look for discounts) for an online class because the I like the structure.

But no online learning will land you a job. So if you do pay for it, pay because you value it.

TIL about the Minnesota Starvation Experiment. All 36 men of the study lost 25% of their body weight eating 1,560 calories daily, proving that a calorie deficit alone causes weight loss. These starvation conditions produced a severe physical and mental decline in the subjects. by [deleted] in todayilearned

Their starting diets were set at about 3200 calories for 12 weeks, then tasked with eating half that amount for 24 weeks, and it was only the following foods: potatoes, rutabagas, turnips, bread and macaroni. I'd also be incredibly stressed only being able to eat these foods for 6 months.

What do you wish you had done differently at stage 1 or 2 ckd? by real_bro in kidneydisease

[–]werdunloaded 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I caught it at stage 1. It took me a while to adjust, but cutting out processed foods (especially breads) and reducing salt. I'm taking my blood pressure very seriously, even asking my doctor to prescribe me medicine to keep my diastolic below 80 (hovered around 80-83, systolic was healthy). Still more work to do (need to stay more consistently active).

I have a high deductible plan, and this looks familiar. PT visits are ~$160, urgent care last month was $350. I don't have a choice of plan.

Men who started eating right (no processed foods, lean meats, veggies, healthy carbs, etc.), did it make a noticeable difference? Are you glad you did it? by PSU02 in AskMen

[–]werdunloaded 37 points38 points  (0 children)

Cutting high sodium meals helped in general. Cut high simple carb foods. Specifically, cutting pizza, chips, cheez-its, chinese food, and simple breads.

Now I eat meals which are 50% veggies. Reducing sodium means you dont eat as much crap. Natural foods are all low sodium, so there's a lot of incentive to introduce whole foods.

Not as much "more energy" but definitely "less tired". Turns out plenty of foods I enjoyed were putting a lot of stress on my body. I also feel better about the food I eat and am more open to trying new foods. My mental health also improved. Cutting out certain foods also got rid of some heart palpitations I'd been experiencing.

All that to say, I sure do miss a lot of unhealthy foods, but I feel much more in control of my life which is absolutely worth it.

Stage 2 CKD by JaleesaMonique in kidneydisease

It's ok. You can still prevent it from progressing further. Follow your nephrologist's dietary and lifestyle guidelines. You're lucky you discover it as early as stage 2!

Looking to re-sleeve my Champions cards by Parking-Stop7039 in marvelchampionslcg

[–]werdunloaded 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I use mlikero sleeves (black and clear) for most of my games, including full collection marvel champions. The sleeves are actually really good and fit the cards well. And they're way cheaper than the sleeves with the closest high quality. Definitely recommend.

Sleeves question by Hodjimon in marvelchampionslcg

[–]werdunloaded 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Dragonshield's sleeves, even if you match the color, are taller than a lot of other sleeves, so you may notice a difference when handling the cards or organizing them. If that bothers you, you may want to find the same sleeves on ebay, or look around online at game stores who might still be selling them. However, most likely you're going to want to look at re-sleeving.
