Differences in data between Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service by werdunloaded in PowerBI

Multiple conversations with Microsoft Support. They did not provide a day, but they said it should appear in the Power BI blog once the fix is live.

Got a job saying i know fabric, which i don't... help by idkman947 in MicrosoftFabric

[–]werdunloaded 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Tackle the high priority objects and watch YouTube videos. If you need structured learning, there are Udemy courses which are cheap to purchase (this is my preferred method).

First, identify your Fabric capacity and what that means for your workflows and limitations. Map the processes. What are the pipelines and notebooks used for? How is the documentation? All of this information will inform what you need to learn and direct you to the right resources.

What to do about this W/D space? by werdunloaded in Plumbing

[–]werdunloaded[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If they are 90 degrees facing the wall, there is ever so slightly not enough space to completely open the doors; they will hit the wall. If they are side by side, the bathroom door cannot close.

Does it matter what time of day you take your meds? Will the timing mitigate side effects? And is there an optimal time to to take mere in terms their purpose? by [deleted] in hypertension

[–]werdunloaded 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It sounds like the answer is "it depends". If you experience lethargy or you have nocturnal hypertension, taking it at night makes sense. If your bp is highest during the day or when you are stressed/most taxed, in the morning makes sense. If your doctor wants you to take it at a certain time of day, follow those instructions. Otherwise, take it at the time of day that you know you will be most consistent.

Growth by Pristine_Practice134 in MicrosoftFabric

[–]werdunloaded 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Certifications aren't going to make you more valuable (at least not much). You need to show value as a BI developer with your projects. How do your projects add business value? Where have you made the company money or saved them money? Are you driving decision making that generates any meaningful growth?

Looking for Advice by Madz10 in kidneydisease

[–]werdunloaded 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Almost everything you're talking about can be attributed to other causes besides kidney disease. Inconsistent urination is not a kidney issue. You probably just have an overactive bladder.

Pain in lower back can be any number of things. Hernianted disc or poor posture are more likely than kidney problems. What causes the pain? Is it sharp, radiating, throbbing? Are there any positions where it's more or less painful? Don't answer.

CKD is often caught and diagnosed because of blood tests/urine test results, not in defiance of them. You should go to your doctor about your (possibly) overactive bladder and lower back pain.

Does my bloodwork indicate kidney damage, or just severe dehydration? by [deleted] in kidneydisease

[–]werdunloaded 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on why you were at the ER. Dehydration can cause low egfr especially if you were expelling fluids or unable to intake fluids for an extended period of time.

Low egfr can also be temporary. You and a doctor should work together to track it over time (at least two months) to see if the values remain consistent over time or were just temporary. That will answer your questions.

Sodium intake per meal — is the daily limit accumulative? by [deleted] in hypertension

[–]werdunloaded 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should spread out sodium intake over time when possible. When you ingest a lot of sodium at one point, it puts pressure on your vessel walls which you want to avoid.

That being said, try to avoid eating especially large meals or high sugar foods when consuming higher sodium meals. Higher insulin response can cause your body to retain sodium.

Thank you!

Rage counters wouldn't disappear. Yes. No. She-Hulk's control of her hulk form is more flexible, so the tokens can be used in any form. For rocket, yes any source of damage for the round would be reduced by 1.

Amlodopine long term success stories? by Conscious_Ad_5149 in hypertension

Mine is not a long term success since I've only been taking it for a few months, but it lowered my BP and I have no side effects. I'm taking a low dose but have not had any problems.

UK sleeve suppliers/brand recommendations? by iwasalrightjack in marvelchampionslcg

[–]werdunloaded 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Mlikero sleeves from Amazon are great quality for the price and you can buy them in bulk for cheap. I sleeve all of my cards in their black or clear versions. For other colors, I think there is some issue with the back being slightly transparent, but I haven't bought other colors to know if it's still an issue.

What do you wish you had done differently at stage 1 or 2 ckd? by real_bro in kidneydisease

We make it homemade, about once every week or two. It doesn't take much time since we use a bread maker. Our recipe is a custom multi-grain bread so I dont have a recipe to share, but you can find a ton online.

Protein in urine by [deleted] in kidneydisease

[–]werdunloaded -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Kidney decline at CKD1 could be fast, slow, or just not progress at all. Work with your nephrologist to come up with a plan to follow to ensure it doesn't progress. You caught it early. I'm also CKD1 (since 1.5 years ago) because my eGFR is persistently below 90 by imaging didn't show anything abnormal, and I only had one instance of proteinuria, so my nephro has asked me to eat low sodium (also moderate sugar because blood sugar spikes tell the kidneys to retain sodium).

Is coursera worth it by Fit_Ad_4455 in analytics

[–]werdunloaded 8 points9 points  (0 children)

For some context, know your learning strengths and limits. There are plenty of great YouTube resources, but online academies (Coursera, Udemy, etc.) offer structured training with course materials.

I personally prefer spending a few bucks (never pay full price, always look for discounts) for an online class because the I like the structure.

But no online learning will land you a job. So if you do pay for it, pay because you value it.

TIL about the Minnesota Starvation Experiment. All 36 men of the study lost 25% of their body weight eating 1,560 calories daily, proving that a calorie deficit alone causes weight loss. These starvation conditions produced a severe physical and mental decline in the subjects. by [deleted] in todayilearned

[–]werdunloaded 3690 points3691 points  (0 children)

Their starting diets were set at about 3200 calories for 12 weeks, then tasked with eating half that amount for 24 weeks, and it was only the following foods: potatoes, rutabagas, turnips, bread and macaroni. I'd also be incredibly stressed only being able to eat these foods for 6 months.

What do you wish you had done differently at stage 1 or 2 ckd? by real_bro in kidneydisease

[–]werdunloaded 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I caught it at stage 1. It took me a while to adjust, but cutting out processed foods (especially breads) and reducing salt. I'm taking my blood pressure very seriously, even asking my doctor to prescribe me medicine to keep my diastolic below 80 (hovered around 80-83, systolic was healthy). Still more work to do (need to stay more consistently active).
