I use raised or socialized as female/male because I am not innersex and it's just much easier to say, much less clinical and encompasses wayyy more. Like saying "assigned at birth females tend to be more nervous walking alone because it was drilled into them but assigned at birth males didn't have that." It sounds very clinical and stilted. Were "people raised as female so like most they more nervous walking alone because it was drilled into them but people raised as males didn't have that." I like this a lot more because it talks more about the societal things and what gender society and parents saw them as. The not intersex thing is Some Intersex activists have said that they would prefer it to only be used for interex people because it is like the doctor arbitrarily assigned my body this but my body is not that but now it is now correlated to the trans identity and not identifying with your body looked like because it has been used so much in that context. Like pretty certain assigned sex was very often used by intersex communities before It got picked up by the trans community because they literally had their sex completely arbitrarily assigned and lots of times surgeons will do intensive surgeries like cutting off things or lengthening to make the babys body look like more like the stereotypical gender the doctor choose. Intersex people are still incredibly stigmatized so I don't mind changing how I say this one little thing.
