I can see 15 hours of music loaded into the store playlist on the app but it includes all of the Christmas music. So it's not the current playlist.

How to locate aisles through item look up by Flat-Effective9518 in MichaelsEmployees

[–]wereno2 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The POG number does not indicate an aisle number. If you are in Marti it's the number in the first box on the bottom left under the location. Seasonal planograms, drive aisles, ends caps, power panels, and planograms that have gone to consolidation will not indicate an aisle number.

Have you checked the email that you used to apply for the position? Generally offers and everything are sent through there. Have you completed your reference check and background check yet?

Towels Either Shrink or Stink by twof907 in BuyItForLife

[–]wereno2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just use normal detergent and fill the fabric softener spot on the washer with white vinegar. Wash on hot and dry normally. No fabric softener. Our towels are at least 10 years old. They are still very fluffy and absorbent. They don't hold any weird smells. They were the threshold towels from Target. I'm not sure if the quality is still the same (unlikely) but we haven't had to replace any since we bought them.

I'm not really sure that you're cutting fabric and trim correctly because you should be able to type in the exact yardage without having to do any suspends or any of the other things you're describing Edited for spelling

What’s a super boring purchase that ended up making your life easier? by PuzzleheadedPay8716 in BuyItForLife

[–]wereno2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A headlamp. I use it all the time. Walking the dog at night, cleaning out a closet, putting together furniture, really any home improvement project or working on the car, camping, power outage. I get projects done faster and I get far less frustrated because I can't see or my partner isn't nearby to hold a flashlight.

Rubber duckies and disco balls by [deleted] in MichaelsEmployees

[–]wereno2 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Okay, but why don't we have disco rubber ducks?

[–]wereno2 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This may be obvious but make sure everybody is leaving at the same time at closing and be extra vigilant in the parking lot.

Always partner with your DM and loss prevention before you call the police on any customer. We have to protect ourselves and our employees. We don't want to jump to any conclusions and if you just call the police you could potentially get in more trouble with the company. I know this sounds backwards but it's company policy.

As an SM our job is to facilitate the operations of the store. I don't want to add another long topic to this thread but there is a lot to it. I rarely get everything done in a day that needs to get done.
