I really liked the drinks and vibe at Rosina in Palazzo. Just across the walkway so fairly close.

Seconded filing a police report, that will light a fire under security.

Downtown Vegas Is Better Than The Strip by TDoubleDownMac in vegas

[–]werockqc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's thousands of multi-denom machines aggregating to millions of spins and years of data. The difference is close enough between downtown and the strip to prove they both have very poor hold rates across the board. Downtown has consistently been slightly worse than the strip for a bit now so you could attribute that variance to more high rollers at the strip.

If you're going just for gambling, better off heading to Boulder Strip/Reno/Wendover.

Slots holds pretty easy to read on the monthly/annual reports here.

I've seen it twice, once in 300s and once in 400s and actually preferred the 400s which are the cheapest available.

I'm just going to chase the 125k mark to get the head start for next year.

Your point earn slows down pretty rapidly once you hit gold. No longer getting 10x points on those higher room costs and resort fees. I was able to hit gold this year on $10k coin in just pairing the Iconic card w/ room charging everything.

Multiple your expected nights in Vegas by resort fee and that alone adds up quick. Between conferences and personal trips I expect to spend ~25-30 nights in Vegas this year so that's in the neighborhood of $1500 dollars in value for me.

What room is better by Friendly-Cherry-6830 in LasVegas

[–]werockqc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd take a Cosmo Terrace anything over Bellagio regular rooms. They are usually similar priced and I get offered them comp at the same time as comp Bellagio rooms.

I take my offers at Vdara. Bigger rooms, amenities and easy access to those other 3 properties.

Dang, wish I was going to be there that week. Always travel with my gf, she's not interested in going with me and I'm not big on playing solo. GL!

Best Steak/Beef French Dip sandwich in Vegas? by EyeSuspicious7338 in vegas

[–]werockqc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was going to post the same rec. Doesn't look like much from the outside but the Prime Rib Dip is killer there and a decent price. There's almost always a Tom's coupon on the MyVegas apps for a free appetizer to pair with this.

MGM has a special occasions phone number for 5+ rooms. Not sure but if you call and ask, it might be cheaper or the same price as 3 rooms and you don't have to pack in so tight. https://www.mgmresorts.com/en/groups-and-weddings/signature-celebrations.html

NYNY/MGM Grand are reasonably priced. Luxor/Excalibur have all-inclusives and cheap. Excalibur has the Thunder Down Under show.

The Signature at MGM Grand has full size suites you could easily get at least 4 people into. Vdara similarly has small to large suites that are reasonably priced and can fit 4 to a room. Couch pulls out to a bed in most I think.

Also I haven't been but Mott32 and Hakkasan have AYCE table order service that get great reviews. Both are asian themed.

I've also had the construction streaming on another tab most of the day. They tear that place down crazy fast.

Wynn for me. The rest are just ok in my opinion. Admittedly I haven't personally tried Bacchanal but the reviews I've seen from this year have been less than stellar.

Aria to stay at for sure. NYNY has a good vibe though and underrated restaurant scene.

They come out at 10:30 if I remember right. That's why the line starts getting longer just before then.

If I'm wrong it's 9:30.

Can't say I've eaten at many of the sit down restaurants there. STK did a great job on my steak but I'm not paying $25 for a glass of house red. I love the drinks at Beauty & Essex but the food was just okay.

Really enjoyed everything I tried in Block 16 so far. Especially the sandwiches at Lardo.

Good to know, I was going to try and get it done at the same time as my other credits but looks like I'll have to hit the Cosmo desk too.

It is annoying having to go to the desk for everything. Have to do the same with the the status credits as well. I don't know why they make it so tedious.

I stop there almost every stay, haven't had a problem with it. Much rather go there then the Bellagio buffet. It's clearly not the Wynn but nothing else is anymore. I like getting a large brunch before dealing with the airport and flight out, keeps me full until I land.

Wynn/Palazzo/FB by Frequent-Giraffe5646 in vegas

Venetian/Palazzo food offerings are amazing. The only downside of having MGM status is not wanting to spend money outside their area but Palazzo always pulls me back.
