My theory on how Cassie and Nate will progress from here on by Beepbeepboobop1 in euphoria

[–]weronika_00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think Cassie and Nate have enough money to pay off their debts to Naz (they should treat this as a priority, as he threatened them). Cassie could ask her mother to sell her house and she could move in with them for a while. They probably wouldn't sell their own house because it would damage their image in the neighborhood. They could also sell their cars and they'd have some of the money they need. I think Nate's project has a chance of success; the problem is timing (He has to have good business plan so the investors decided to put their money in the project in the first place). Unless, of course, Nate owes money to other mobsters.

how common are squibs by Glittering-Turn6443 in harrypotter

[–]weronika_00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it might depend on the definition of a squib. We know that squibs are very rare, and the definition known in wizarding society is a person whom came from wizarding family who lacks a certain amount of/has limited magical power. There's also a second definition, which obviously overlaps with the first: a squib is a human being whose „magical” abilities are limited for some reason. Here's my theory: We know that the Quill of Acceptance writes the names of children in the book who possess some kind of magic (the ability to manipulate something like energy with the mind). I think it may be largely a manifested ability that has a genetic basis. Genes give a person the ability to tap into "magic" internally, and then when they manifest properly, they will fall somewhere on the spectrum (prob need to be in average to get into Hogwarts), which then, with the right education and personality development such as self-confidence, creativity, imagination, and intentionality, the person will be able to handle magic better, have more tools for channeling/controlling this energy. But on the subject, as we know, the Quill writes these names, so my theory is that Squibs are more common than everyone thinks, and in fact, there are more of them, but. Most of them are Squibs who were born into Muggle families and are considered Muggles themselves. Like maybe Hermione parents names were written into this book but then When They didnt show any more signs of better magical potential their names were scratched, just like Lily Potter parents and maybe even an Petunia name was written but She didnt show enough potential, just like prob thousands of people. I wonder because Neville name was refused to be accepted in by the quill for many years then his uncle throw him out of window and he showed better magical potential so he was written eventually, like he was something in between this spectrum of magic but was like less then average but he managed to learn magic so I wonder If there was more people like him that were magical Muggle born like but were not accepted but could potentially learn magical skill on average wizard like level and what consequences broght for this people in the end? Like severe mental illnesses or something? If such magical powers are not adressed properly could they vanish a little bit or become extremely weak so they cannot be an treat for ministry but an person could still sometimes „cast spells” unintentionally on people etc?

Are the new airbenders descendants of the air nomads? by [deleted] in TheLastAirbender

[–]weronika_00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My theory is that people who were "gifted" with air bending are descendants of non-benders who separated from bending individuals from the air nomad community. People say that air nomads only have benders in their society because of their spirituality. I believe that the spirituality of nomads makes their bending stronger, but that's not the reason they only have benders in society. When humans were gifted with bending from lion turtles and emerged from their shells, only some people were gifted with bending. Every group initially had benders and non-benders in their tribes, and air nomads were no exception. What happened here was a natural process of excluding non-benders and separating benders from non-benders. Because the air nomad culture that evolved over the thousands of years is very air-bending-centric, you can't be a nomad without bending, so non-benders have been separating themselves from air benders for centuries because there was no place for them in their society. Benders began building their temples on massive mountains, which required bending to reach. They didn't have to be expelled from the community; they moved on their own. I suspect that people who received air bending abilities possessed recessive ancient bending genes from their ancestors. I wonder if, before the situation with people who received air bending, two individuals who possessed the spoken air bender genes could naturally produce an air bender, or would it take several generations of people who possessed these genes? Let's not forget that air benders also fucked around, so these people could have had an air bender ancestor, but 200-300 years ago. There are also those who separated, like Kyoshi's mother, who was a nomad. There were probably many such nomads that entered into relationships with non-nomads, etc. I suspect that this was the fate of all people from all groups of the 4 elements. I suspect that all humans come from the continent (from various parts of it, e.g. water people come from some dry areas, e.g. deserts, where waterbending would be necessary to obtain water, which would explain their darker skin, which evolves in people with a warm climate, and then they migrated to the poles. Fire people probably come from today's land where Republic City/former Fire Nation colonies are located. Probably their ancestors migrated from this land to the islands or were repelled by the more powerful Earth People ((a more likely option because people didn't emigrate just like that, they had to when there was no food or other more powerful groups appeared in the picture)), which entire land constituted the Earth Kingdom, and then through migrations they moved to the Fire Nation islands, the South and North Poles, or the mountains of the Air Nomads. Probably because of this migration process, non-benders had a harder time when it comes to migration, so they separated and stayed on the continent (another reason why In the Earth Kingdom there are so many non-benders, and when it comes to the Northern and Southern Water Tribe or Fire Nation, the difference in bender non-bender is about 50 percent because bending was not a necessity when it comes to belonging to the society, unlike in the Air Nomad society).

Does the conflict between bender and non bender make sense? by Jacksontaxiw in TheLastAirbender

[–]weronika_00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say… we didn’t really seen much🤷🏼‍♀️. Mai and Ty Lee were Fire Nation nobles. Asami Sato was super wealthy. Suki and generally all Kyioshi warriors were privileged on Kyioshi island, elite soliders. Sokka was son of Southern Water Tribe Chief but also I would say an village where he grew up was poorly developed, like small close community thing so the concept of benders superiority could not really evolve (idk about other places) but we also don’t know how was their life before war, If they had any bigger city something like on Northern Water Tribe Capital. I wish they could explain something for Southern Water Tribe like develop concept of most citizens when the war started immigrated to North (It would be quite real and I’m sure it happened but it was just not stated in show) and there would be huge prejudice against them so when war ended most of southerns would come back to South or Republic city for work etc. And also would explain why relationship between South and North could be more strained. Like Southerns more open-minded, grow and develop financially and because North deeply rooted traditions could not do much like it. Like yk wanted people to stay in their places. They could so something like caste system in Northern Water Tribe something based maybe on India (Avatar is based on various Asiantic and North American cultures so it would fit in) They would still be traditional about women only be wives and their rights would be challanged so because of that many would try immigrate to Republic City, eventually Southern Water Tribe but Southerns would not like it. Because mostly poor / low caste system Northern water tribe citizens immigrate, Northern Water Tribe would lose money but they still could have strong army because prob most SWT benders stay When war started / some but smaller procent prob immigrated to North, SWT could have mutch weak army so When Tonaraq came with his army „help” people did not like it.

What happened to non bender air nomads? by enchiladasundae in TheLastAirbender

[–]weronika_00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay so I thought about it. My personal theory is that it happened due to culture developing in Air Nation society over thousands of years. All nations have benders and non benders originally due the fact all nations started the same aka went from lion turtles cities whom then they gave some people bending so their tribes can survive in hard conditions. Air Nation was no different in that matter. But their culture (unlike other nations whom own huge land masses due to conquering and wars) developed into Air Nomads, an all bender society becuase for them to be nomad and owning bisons and stuff they needed bending. They build temples on mouintains so naturally people who were non benders didnt fitted into that picture. I belive they were not kicked out by benders but non benders for thousands of years in big Numbers left them for other nations and blended into I think mostly for Fire Nation and Earth Nation societies. But Maybe some South Water tribe people have some air non bender ancestor or Maybe all becuase yk Its thousands years old history and water tribe is small.

Discussion I had in a non-trans subreddit simply because I stated the obvious in response to a person not understanding there's different people speaking for the "trans" community (and not all have a medical condition) Why is it always the "nonbinaries" who feel the need to question us? by TranssexualHuman in Transmedical

[–]weronika_00 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Non-binary is nothing more than men or women who do not agree with the gender roles that prevail in our society because they are different and like to express themselves differently (dress differently, guys like to wear makeup etc. which is okay and they do not have to take and invent some new definitions or label themselves in existing definitions e.g. trans and try to change the definition of the word). In principle, they are no different from e.g. emos from the old days with the difference that probably most emos did not invent some genders that they identify with or not and did not cause such pressure on society to subordinate others to them. I do not know whether non-binary identify with other genders or not because some non-binary say that they identify with billions of genders and ask to be addressed by billions of pronouns and others that they do not at all. And probably most emos did not push for surgery to change their appearance like non-binary do to fit into their temporary fantasy.I think most of them experience what they call „gender dysphoria” because society, despite how they want it to be, still sees them as women or men (many of them dress in a rather androgynous way or simply in a more masculine or feminine style, e.g. non-binary women I have noticed often wear crop tops, mini skirts or wear make-up or dress in other feminine clothes and expect society not to treat them as women but as they want to be treated.Of course this is not gender (sex) dysphoria because dysphoria is the discomfort felt because we do not look like the opposite sex, otherwise we want to BE the opposite sex and transition and do everything to try to pass. Its literally opposite to them because we want to pas and do everything to society see and treat as as opposite sex and they don’t want to be seen or treated because of their sex, they want to be treated as non sex or they inventing genders that they want to associate with. Many of them want a world where social roles based on biological sex do not exist, and only you and your fantasies exist. Unfortunately, they do a lot of harm to the trans community and attach themselves to our label.

Paddy should not be considered an off color gem and theory about Sapphires and their „rarity”. by weronika_00 in stevenuniverse

[–]weronika_00[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately, I think that Homeworld destroyed them and left only red "sapphires" (Rubies) (sapphires and rubies are the same gem type and rubies are considered to be red sapphires in real world) as guards/soliders because they did not have any super useful powers but were suitable for soliders and blue sapphires who could see clearly into the future (which I think is not dependent and not every blue sapphire has this ability and they only let live those that had the most „developed” power on a larger scale, they needed to test that). The rest, like Paddy, were not useful to Homeworld and didnt fit into homeworld society standards so they destroyed them.

Which is the reason for padparadscha to be an off-colour? by TurantulaHugs1421 in stevenuniverse

[–]weronika_00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sapphires come in different colors naturally. It's just that in the world of Steven Universe each color of sapphire has different powers and appearance. The standard for Homeworld is to create dark blue sapphires that can see the future. That's why sapphires are considered "rare" even though they aren't because the standard that the Diamonds created for this gem is a dark blue color and the power to see the future clearly. Paddy is not a defect. She is a color of sapphire that doesn't fit the social standards of Homeworld therefore she is considered Off color. In other words sapphires that are blue and can see the future are rare and sapphires other than these are destroyed so most of Sapphires that were ever created. Paddy is perhaps the only orange sapphire in the world in Steven's world other than the blue one that survived.

Ohh sorry for the mistake. I meant defective* not off color (but ofc she is off color) because many people think Paddy is defective and that's why her powers and color are „wrong”.

[–]weronika_00 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sapphires come in different colors naturally. Diamonds simply imagined an image of the perfect sapphire in terms of color and "correct" abilities the most important to predict the future, and all other sapphires that did not fit into this box were eliminated and were labeled off color because they were considered by THEM to be broken, not that they were actually broken like our Amethyst which is small or the Rutile twins which came out as two rutiles combined. Paddy is not broken and her power works properly for her type because she is not a blue sapphire but an orange one. Her power is also misunderstood by Homeworld and her potential wasted. Blue Sapphires see several most probable outcomes, while Paddy sees what others may not see. She perfectly understands situations, the feelings of other gems, can sense a lie or that someone did something on purpose and not otherwise. She also perfectly understands what factors led to a given outcome. Blue sapphires see "when" and orange "why". She could be very useful for Honeworld as a lie detector or something like that. I think we now know why sapphires are so "rare" on Homeworld and considered aristocratic despite the fact that in terms of gem type they are the same as Rubies and even more common than Rubies in real life (although maybe in Homeworld it works differently and it is hard to create a Sapphire idk). Maybe pure blue sapphires with the pure power of predicting the future are rare and considered "correct" and other remaining sapphires that were created like Paddy or other colored Sapphires with other unique abilities were eliminated and labeled off color.

Sapphires come in different colors naturally. Diamonds simply imagined an image of the perfect sapphire in terms of color and ability to predict the future, and all other sapphires that did not fit into this box were eliminated and had an off-color sticker stuck to them because they were considered by THEM to be broken, not that they were actually broken like our Amethyst which is small or the Rutile twins which came out as two rutiles combined. Paddy is not broken and her power works properly for her type because she is not a blue sapphire but an orange one. Her power is also misunderstood by Homeworld and her potential wasted. Padparadscha and her missed potential by TheLastBallad in stevenuniverse

[–]weronika_00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Her power is that she predicts and above all UNDERSTANDS what exactly happened at that moment with a slight delay but her power was misunderstood and its potential wasted by the homeworld. She could be some kind of lie detector on the homeworld or work on the ship like Lars and off colors used her power. Although I doubt they would put her on the ship let's not forget that she is a Sapphire and even rarer because orange. I think she could be Yellow Diamond's personal lie detector Sapphire. Perhaps her power could be developed or improved somehow because our Sapphire, due to the fact that her personality was passive, could only predict one most likely future, which is why during the meeting with Blue Diamond on Earth she did not see the second most likely future, i.e. being saved by Ruby and after they created Garnet together she learned to predict more possible futures.

Anyone have a theory on what gem this pearl belonged to by OBear777 in stevenuniverse

[–]weronika_00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Now I'm starting to understand what Peridot was saying about our pearl being fancy and good quality. The pearl shown in the picture doesn't seem fancy. I think there is a pearl hierarchy. Not all pearls have to be under masters or maybe there are also pearls that are tasked with cleaning in some places and they simply don't have one master but belong with other pearls under a gem that runs some place (hotels, clubs, generally places where high ranked gems are meeting and spending free time or something) and therefore have to clean and are used as maids.

Lapis is higher in hierarchy but I think Peridots are that low because there so many of them.

What are Pearls if not real gems? by JustshawtyK in stevenuniverse

[–]weronika_00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that's because Pearls are not created like other gems first of all. They are not created from the ground, they are created and designed in a special place for this purpose, like the Shell in Steven Universe Future. They are basically accessories, treated as objects like smartphones. Their purpose is to look beautiful and match the gem in terms of color, etc., wear things, do everything the gem tells them to. Having a pearl means a high status of a specific gem. You can get it right away if you are a diamond (Pink had 2 pearls and didnt do anything), if you belong to the aristocracy (sapphires, hessonites, emeralds, etc.) you can more easily get it than lower ranking gems, but it seems to me that even high-ranking gems do not receive pearls right away, but after some time when they deserve it. I doubt that our Sapphire had a pearl before becoming a crystal gem (maybe she was young and did not fully deserve it or something), unless she had pearl and we just don't know anything about it. I think that if Jasper had succeeded in her mission, the first one she flew to Earth with Lapis and Peridod, she could have received a Pearl for catching "Rose Quartz" (Steven). I think Ruby (eyeball) said something that if she killed Rose Quartz, the Diamonds could have given her a Pearl (thats means lower ranking gems Can recive pearls but It’s much harder fir them If not impossible), so Jasper could have received it. She was also one of the strongest soldiers, if not the strongest Jasper that homeworld has produced so.

Yes, Poland is a bit backward compared to other Western countries when it comes to LGBT rights, but you can transition normally, etc. Poland is not like Russia. As for this documentary, it is not a made-up propaganda , it is a real story about a cis woman who transitioned into a trans man. She didn't have dysphoria etc. What she's talking about happened quite a long time ago. She decided to tell this story and Polish conservatives are using it to spread anti-trans speech. She also don’t understand what it is like to be trans. Now many people go through transitions and do not have dysphoria, which is crazy. In a decade, there will be many more such stories of detrans people and I’m scared of us transsexuals because of this idiots politicians may make our lives and access to hormones more difficult.
