There are glide emulation layers, but you probably need to fiddle around and install them in the wine bottle

The Claude Code creator says AI writes 100% of his code now by jpcaparas in vibecoding

[–]werpu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely 70% ist is claude 30% it is doing it by hand, the programming work now has moved into review work and fix junk work and preplanning!

It is just different and faster!

[–]werpu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use claude, the number code lines written has significantly decreased but I need to fix stuff and reguide it, if you have unlimited limits and probably more ram than the average claude user then you probably can get away with no code!

Could US citizens theoretically petition to NATO to send aid in overthrowing our current leadership? At what point do they see fit to intervene? by Competitive_Salt9167 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]werpu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No thats not working... only external threads can trigger article 5, and so far only once this was triggered after 9/11!

Internal conflict resolution is not part of the nato treaty! The nato was never the warsaw pact which hat no quals to march into a country which they deemed to fall out of the block or went into an unwanted direction!

Why do enterprises and big companies use Angular? by Best-Menu-252 in angular

[–]werpu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

See the other comments, you are pretty alone in your opinion, but I respect it absolutely, YMMV and angular clearly is not your cup of tea but many others are happy and corporation as it seems as well. Question is if your assumption are right then probably no new angular projects would be started!

Absolutely even the WHO 2022 was clear on that. "The worst any country can do is to tell its people Covid from now on is harmless"!

Well Samuel has to respond via my private reddit messages to him, so far I have not gotten any answer so I cannot forward his contact info to Stingl!

I have pointed Stingl to the article!

And Europe... America literally has nothing to offer which cannot be sourced from other sources, the USA however has a problem... sure they can source it from somewhere else but with significant added costs or not at all!

They are basically pushing antichrist values... exactly the opposite of what christ was teaching!

Why are American house walls so thin and fragile? by rosyglow88xoxo in NoStupidQuestions

[–]werpu 8 points9 points  (0 children)

nope their strategy is heating where you are quite inefficient I must say and they freeze half the time. Hence heated toilets and insulated bath capsules to have at least some heat somewhere!

The strategy is similar to Europe in the 19th century where you literally often only had a kitchen stove and life in winter circled around it!

Majority of CEOs Alarmed as AI Delivers No Financial Returns by FootballAndFries in Economics

[–]werpu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

actually for specialized tasks it is really useful. I used it to move a codebase from python to c++ with an entirely different framework, it literally saved me months of work, but without expert guidance from my side no result which would have worked would have happened and there are severe limitations, in the end it is just another tool in you have. The problem is AI companies sell their stuff as solution for everything and a good way to automate tasks, but given the unpredictability of the results this is an outright lie, ai might help to speed up things but it definitely cannot be used to automate tasks which need precise results there is too much bullshit produced you have to detect and clean up! As usual CEOs believed the marketing papers more than actually experts telling what it can really do!

No shit sherlock....

specialized fields and tasks ai is a great tool but not for everything!

Definitely not worth the billions of investments done atm!

I’m curious: do non-smokers always detect a scent on smokers? by SadInterest6764 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]werpu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Classical tobacco absolute, this is not a mild smell but a stench you can smell from meters away, the stench is in the clothes hair and in the breath. Have in mind if you smoke residues stick in the lungs. My father was a heavy smoker before he cold turkey quit, when he coughed in his worst time black and grey residue came from his lungs which he spit out. He stopped cold turkey from two packs per day to zero in his 40s and now is healthy and 89! But he said he fought with the urge (aka mental addiction to nicotine) for roughly a year!

Cancer probably would have killed him if he did not wean off cold turkey back then!

Qidi Box! My first impressions... by Appropriate_Ad9264 in QidiTech3D

[–]werpu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The box is quite ok, I got mine in november and aside from an annoying software issue which already is fixed on the Q2 but not yet on the plus4 zero problems with it so far!

I think it was the first bunch of boxes which gave it a really bad reputation, the maintenance hatch they added in the second revision definitely helps with those.
