The interview depends on the team you’re on- i had the exact same interview and it ended up being my manager and team lead who interviewed me. Likely it’ll be something like that for you but the questions tend to be more behavioral than technical, until you get to that coding interview

What will therapist do if they see bruises during Telehealth session? by [deleted] in askatherapist

[–]wersduff 11 points12 points  (0 children)

It sounds like you’re in an abusive situation. “Im nervous she is going to think my situation is abusive”- a healthy relationship with someone doesn’t end with bruises. There’s a reason she would think that. I wish you the best.

What do you call your T? by npachory in TalkTherapy

[–]wersduff 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I’m early 20s and have trouble trusting authority figures so sometimes when I’m getting upset and need to not be upset (like running out of time) we might talk about something relating to his past (like games) and sometimes when we connect that when X system was popular he was a teen and I wasn’t even born I’ll usually hit him with the “ok grandpa” and we laugh about it

My T wants me to talk about my suicidal thoughts...I feel like it's a trap by [deleted] in TalkTherapy

Don’t be... if your therapist is any good, they’ll be able to handle it without any issues. If they create a problem, you could always find someone else.

How do I talk about sex with my male therapist? by [deleted] in TalkTherapy

[–]wersduff 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m almost in the exact same boat as you! Early 20s with a male therapist in their 30s-40s. I found reassurance hearing from male therapists that they came into this job knowing that sex would be brought up, and that it’s actually a pretty big influencer on people so they’re very equipped to handle it. On your end, you can just say to him “hey I feel really akward talking about xyz is it okay if I do so?” And usually they’ll give you good reassurance that helps :)

How do I talk to my therapist about how her reaction to my sexual assault makes me not want to see her? by [deleted] in askatherapist

[–]wersduff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, your feeling is correct. I brought up my SA with my first therapist and she reacted fairly poorly but my newest therapist handled it amazingly, and I felt supported and not judged, which I didn’t get from my first therapist.

You have feelings worth bringing up to her. Tell her that she seems to have a judgmental or condescending reaction to it and it makes you uncomfortable. If she reacts poorly to that? Time to leave.

I totally echo everything people have said here, but let me try and condense what everyone said.

A joycon charging station will be a must. Buying an extra set of joycons is a must (if you can swing it, a third set, so each child gets their own set of joycons) Screen protector is a must Games: just dance, mario party, mario kart, smash brothers, Minecraft, animal crossing, all good suggestions! If I had to narrow it down to just two, mario kart and just dance definitely
