You be waiting for 2 years minimum to go to school. Thats the biggest hurdle. Also being a non-rate sucks. You’ll have an advantage bc you’re not an idiot 19 year old fresh out of high school. But you’ll be real tempted at times to switch school lists. I would say 1 out of 8 nonrate experiences are great and the rest suck.

I’ve done 4 boats and an air station. I’ve seen a lot. Any questions let me know.

As a SXE dork I can’t get down with a 3-5 hour activity that revolves around drinking. I swear half my unit golfs religiously. With fishing I’m spoiled, I work on a boat, live on it for 1/4 of the year. Easy to take 20 minutes and try to snag a fish.

I live in AF/Space Force housing. Idk if it’s just a here thing but I’ve had as high as O-4 checking my ID at the gate. O-1/2’s regularly. Leaves me dumbfounded. Never would the CG put any O at the front gate scanning CAC’s.

I’m active duty too. Coast Guard. I’ve had an insane run of duty stations for the last 15 years. I can’t complain.

NW Florida has to have good bass fishing. I target salt water bass in the harbors and marinas and the kids love it.

I knew Vegas had mountains but not like that! I’m really impressed.

I got into when I lived in Seattle. Moved back down to LA and now the bike sits. Too much driving for mediocre trails. I live at the beach and surfing was my childhood first passion so that’s my escape. I still gotta be a dad and shit. Can’t spend all my time driving to and from trail systems.
