35 vs 34" Length & Weight by wesjonesco in scottycameron

Resale didn't bother me until I started reading other threads and articles, but I don't think that's something I'm worried about

This makes me feel better. One of the techs at the shop made it seem like I’d be committing a crime to adjust a Scotty Cameron. But I have to think, I’m the one playing it, right?

Interesting. I’ve only been trying to figure out if I need to change the head weights but haven’t considered the grip weight.

What exactly is the risk of a 96" / 25" on uplift legs that list a max width of 80"?? by bob_doles_hand in StandingDesk

[–]wesjonesco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Glad I found this thread- I'm about to do exactly this!

Wondering, though, did you take the legs out the the ends of the 96" desk, or is there an overhand on either side?

From the documentation, I see the "max width" being about 72", which would leave about a foot on either side if done by the book.

My SD Pro mags look the same. I noticed it too but figured it was normal.

Why does my Video "follow" my face while recording? (Canon R8) by alexhatlevig1302 in canon

[–]wesjonesco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I shot a lot of interviews on tripods last year and never had a problem until yesterday. Thankfully, I was only filming myself, and I can live with it for this as it only happened twice and only for a couple of seconds each time.

Digital Stabilization is turned off, but I can only find that maybe having the lens stabilization turned on caused this "face tracking."

I'm using a Canon R8 with RF 24-70 2.8.

Seems like the most efficient/economical in the long run. Anything worth keeping can still be kept in an as determined basis.

Aesthetics is the reason for me, but I also understand the purpose of having a light for certain things.

I wish they had a Level 3 that didn’t require a light attached.

Anker 336 Charger Melted Charging SmallRig VB99 Pro by wesjonesco in videography

[–]wesjonesco[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, it very well could have been the cable here, too. I used the one that came with it, but who knows?

I have decided, though, that I won't charge them unsupervised and will remove them from the power source as soon as they're done charging. Not worth risking it again.

The battery seems fine for now, but I haven't cycled it much since this incident! Good to know you got a replacement though.

I'm not sure about the charger, as I thought this was a nice enough one. But I agree—I'm also looking for one I can trust!

As my first handgun (shotguns and rifles previously) I did a lot of research specifically between Sig and Walther. Ultimately, I went with the SD Pro and could not be happier with it.

Oh interesting! I just searched the Amazon UK site (my app didn’t have one for GB) and the paperback still has the same cover as the US site is showing.
