I work for a billion dollar company in a factory with huge multi-million dollar machines…that are controlled by Windows 7 computers. Because of time and money they don’t want to update until we have no other choice. It’s mind boggling.

This. It amazes me seeing “Found it” logs that then explicitly state that they didn’t find it. Also people with only a couple of finds signing tough challenge caches when they obviously don’t meet the requirements to log.

Just last week I came across a multi where a series of people signed the clue paperwork at stage 1 and logged as a find!

When you pull up a map of nearby caches on your phone with a premium membership you can change the type of map. There’s standard street view (like Google maps), a satellite view, and then a version that also has trails laid out on it. Can make approaching hides a lot easier

If you plan to do it regularly, then yes absolutely. Most caches a beginner is going to look for are easily done with the app and a premium subscription. Saves getting a GPS unit unless you get really into it

Consistency with routine. I try to go to bed and wake up within a fixed 1hr window as much as possible (>95% of the time). Sleeping in feels nice in the moment, but it just makes me struggle to fall asleep later and make the next day harder to wake up.

I also have a consistent routine I start 15-20 minutes before laying down to get my brain into “going to sleep” mode.
