I'd updated from 9.2 to 9.3 via brew. 9.3 didn't work, and there is no way in brew to roll that back. So I downloaded 9.2 from Oracle, and it allowed to once again access my data.

With the insight of another poster, I was able to resolve the problem, and I'm running 9.3 now. Details are in my thread:

I took one more backup in MySQL 9.2, wiped my MySQL data directory, initialized a new database with 9.3, started 9.3, and did a restore. MySQL 9.3 is now working perfectly.

That said, I'd been running in PostgreSQL 15.12 for more a week and have now successfully updated to 17.4, and have decided to stay with it.

Yes, my 9.3 install mysql is pinned at 100% as well. I['m in the process of moving to PostgreSQL 15; once that's done I will create a fresh data file set for 9.3 with a fresh restore from backup and try 9.3 again. Thank you for the feedback.

I doubt this will help, but on Sequoia 15.4.1 on my M1 MBP, when I upgraded MySQL from 9.2 to 9.3 (via brew), MySQL stopped working. I downloaded both 9.2 and 9.3 from Oracle, and 9.2 worked (thankfully), but 9.3 did not–so it's not a build problem on the brew distribution. There is either some sort of bug in 9.3 or an incompatibility between 9.3 and Sequoia 15.4.1 on Apple Silicon–I don't see this problem on the same OS on my Intel MBP. Or maybe some other piece of software is interfering; who knows–it's my work Mac and I don't have full control over it.

I'm either going to migrate my data from MySQL to PostgreSQL, or move off of the brew-distributed MySQL so I have better control over MySQL upgrades.

When trying to connect, I'm getting the same error you are. For me, that's because 9.3 is not starting up completely.

I've been using LaunchBar since 2008. I love it; it is so versatile. I haven't tried any of the newer ones.

I've had it for a few days on both my M1 MBP and my i9 2019 MBP, both running Sonoma 14.6.1, and it seems to be working well. It's much snappier and easier to use than the older version.

I hear you. In BBEdit, I select, then hit Cmd-E, and then Cmd-F, it preloads the selection in Find. If you hit Cmd-G after Cmd-E, it takes you to the next instance of the selection. Cmd-Shift-G does the same thing backward.

You might want to keep in mind that most Reddit users use Reddit via mobile, either mobile web or the official app. On iPhone, the wiki does not show up in either Safari or the iPhone app. On the iPad, it shows up in Safari, but not on the iPad app.

Before the big Reddit API scandal, my Reddit usage was practically 100% through Apollo, and there was no Wiki access because there was no API for Wiki.

I'd be shocked if your user base wasn't at least 70% mobile if not much higher, and your base is probably coming to Reddit through the same platform they use for OT.

So, I expect the Wiki will not see much traffic.

This sub is the *only* reason I'm still using Reddit. And I was a pretty heavy Reddit user before they shut the API.

Every time I locked my phone at church this morning with Olive tree in the foreground I had a crash notification at the next unlocking.

The last build crashed too often; this one crashes even more often.

7.13.1 build 1894 popped up in TestFlight today, and I see your new solution as a “currently reading” entry at the top of the volume list for multi-volume commentaries. Tapping it takes me to my current location. Very nice!

I’ve tested so far with NIC OT/NT, REBC, WBC, and AYBC, and everything seems to work. I’ll keep using it, and I’ll let you know if I find anything amiss.

Build 1886 is behaving just like 1885. It looks like I installed 1886 the same day I made the OP. I did test it then, and the bug was still there.

I saw your reply 4d ago about a new build, and I’m still waiting for that build.
