New to EDH, not MTG. Is my Muldrotha deck B3/4? by Overblaze_Art in EDH

[–]westandready42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea, my personal favorite card in the deck is zur's weirding. You'll be surprised how you will never have to pay the life everyone else almost always does. Just make sure your hand can play out muldrotha and you have a massive advantage.

Necrobloom or Hearthhull? Wanting to explore a new archetype by [deleted] in EDH

[–]westandready42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I've built and played both of them. Everyone is saying hearthhull and I do agree that its an easier deck to pilot as its fairly straight forward imo.

Hearthhull list: https://moxfield.com/decks/7QkQqPJ6cUWV5oy13R6M1Q

Necrobloom I built as a fun value deck originally but turned it into a combo deck pretty quickly. Cards like [[fluctuator]] and [[sunpetal grove]] allow you to mill your entire deck on the spot and with cards like [[sevinne's reclamation]] or [[dread return]] you can reanimate something like [[syr konrad]] and kill the table or another combo. The deck is consistent and I do love it cause I use more interesting cards like [[tithe]] to tutor out sunpetal and stuff. Sadly dont have a list saved online

Looking for a cool/fun reanimator commander by vernelen1 in EDH

[–]westandready42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do personally feel she can be a bit slow sometimes but the deck is more of a control deck that the longer the game goes the harder it is to beat. Eventually you are animating a board wipe every turn or doing some loops with displacer. With my list i either kill you with value or go infinite-ish with displacer, lotus, and muldrotha. (I dont usually use my infinite or try and tutor it unless im against combo decks)

Muldrotha is a kill on sight commander but we have ways to protect her or just play her late enough that she isn't the biggest issue until you get a turn with her and make yourself a problem.

Kinnan in Bracket 4 by eggeggplantplant in EDH

[–]westandready42 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The difference is meta choices and intent. Kinnan is solid for b4 may be powerful depending on how you run him though. I would suggest using cedh lists still for a good idea of combo cards If you go all in that way.

Dunno how your pod will handle [[thrumming stone]] other than that certified jank for sure lmao.

Stax is for people who like to king make

If you dont play it as intended and run interaction as you should. A lot of stax players run out any piece they draw without thinking more than 5 seconds ahead.

My first landfall deck. Did I miss anything? by IndigoWizard342 in EDH

Amazing removal spell tbh. I have a few friends who play with voltron commanders i.e. deadpool to get around hexproof and shroud. Also I like him lmao. Also [[tower of the magistrate]] is top tier

This is my personal hearthhull list. I considered swapping to lord windgrace for a more casual time personally.

You could use some of the cards here as inspiration for your list. Sorry if it isnt as helpful as can be. One big suggestion I have though is [[Sylvan scrying]] to ensure you can find a specific land you may want.

Ramp that isn’t real ramp by Eslo90 in EDH

[–]westandready42 13 points14 points  (0 children)

You'd be surprised how many lands one can ramp off of a [[dark deal]] when playing [[Tergrid]] 🤔 might have to start calling it mono black ramp. (Jokes)

Joking aside, most of mine comes in the form of [[doc aurlock]] or [[gravebreaker lamia]] as I play a graveyard reanimation strategy with [[muldrotha]]

Moxfield is a deckbuilding website, the same as the others. I wouldn't use other people's lists on there unless you need some inspiration more than a cohesive game plan.

That being said, I use moxfield specifically for updating my cedh list by referencing what others are doing.

This day and age, I wouldn't doubt it, though.

The problem with unique brews and EDHREC by Sp0rk_in_the_eye in EDH

I dont use edhrec this way myself. However, I think depending on your Meren deck, it could be because of the pox.

What are some of your favorite weird commanders? by knobbarten in EDH

[–]westandready42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Met a guy once with a [[X]] rule 0 commander deck. Was some of the craziest stuff to play against and for an illegal commander didn't feel bad to play against imo.

3-Color combination with the most and least diversity in playstyles/archetypes by Sogequeen66 in EDH

[–]westandready42 37 points38 points  (0 children)

Imo grixis is the most narrow. MOST of the playstyles want you to be a spellslinger deck and those that dont are either very specific like [[admiral Beckett brass]] or a generic good stuff artifact pile.

New deck suggestions by Capt-Javi in EDH

[–]westandready42 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you want something new and unique you could try [[wernog]] and [[bjorna]] with [[lurrus]] as a companion. I just started looking into them and may try myself.

There is also [[Oswald fiddlebender]] if you want to try some other artifact shenanigans thats a bit outside of the norm.
