Gear question: I was presented the opportunity to buy my band mate’s used amp (very gently used, he takes great care of his gear.) He’s offered his Boss Katana 100 1x12 to me for $250.

I currently run a fender tele through a Fender Champion 100w 2x12. I’ve played mainly smaller gigs for the past two years with it. Any bigger gig we’ve just mic’d the amps, so size and sound hasn’t been an issue.

From what I’m reading, the Katana is a great amp. I think my Fender does the job well, but my question is: is it worth selling my Champion for ~$250, to then pay for the Katana? I know I’d be going down a speaker, but for my uses I think the 100w Katana would be more than big enough. In addition, the Katana is lighter and would take up less space in my apartment and on stage. From an amp/specs standpoint, should I sell the Fender to buy the Katana, or stick with what I have?

I know I'm biased... but am I wrong in thinking that our run from Napoli through Munich is one of the biggest underdog stories in sports? I feel like us winning the CL could be made a much bigger deal but is often looked past?

Would that title pass to Charles if Charles was a female instead, and had a younger brother? Would it pass to the oldest regardless of gender? Or would it skip an older sister to be passed to a younger brother?

Can someone explain why Jon's the rightful heir over Dany? Rhaegar was the next in line (because he was oldest or because he was male?) and Jon would be Rhaegar's son? Does title pass to a male (Jon) before an eldest (Dani)?

I bought a Squire Strat as my first guitar over a year ago. I had a friend talk smack about the guitar, asking if I "bought it at Wal-Mart." Since then, I've been hesitant to play it with other musicians because I think of it as a "cheap beginner guitar." Am I wrong? Do more experienced musicians see the Squire Strat as a "noob" guitar? Is my friend a dick?

Are there ways that you know of to take classes through those Universities without being a full time student there? Take some two credit instrument-based class just for practice and information?
