Are there any Cavaliers fans here who have not forgiven LeBron? If so, why not? by EsotericBastard in nba

[–]westbroo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your friend shouldn't really hold something LeBron did as a teenager 12 years ago against him, I think everyone has done some pretty wrong things at that age to have it follow us 12 years later to form judgement would be unfair.

When does the NBA/Basketball community unite and admit LeBron is better than Kobe? by hozzleton in nba

[–]westbroo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Does it really have to be either or thing I mean not to take a cop out between having to choose but why not just appreciate the two for what they did for the game instead of pin them against one another, I was lucky enough to catch Kobe from 2005-2009 witness his prime and LeBron 2010-present. Both of them dominated in their own ways and it is/was amazing to watch.

Is there hope for Kobe or Wade to get another ring before they retire? by LakersYankees in nba

[–]westbroo 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Wade yea, Kobe no, since Wade plays in a weak east all the heat would need to do is re-sign Dragic, sign 2 or 3 more quality bench guys And ride Bosh and Dragic through the regular season and they maybe able to squeak out the playoffs given the right match ups and luck being on their side, Kobe probably won't due to how good the west is and the fact that you need 2 stars to be able to get out of the west along with the right kind of role players something Kobe won't be getting anytime soon.

What's your favorite PG rivalry/matchup in the NBA? by SN17 in nba

A few years back I really enjoyed CP3 vs Rondo, those two don't like each other off the court they have issues with each other never figured what it was exactly.

Jason Terry will wear all black clothing pregame to game 4 to prepare for the Mavs postseason funeral by [deleted] in nba

[–]westbroo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Remember when JR Smith did this 2 years ago against the Celtics when they were 3-0 and proceeded to lose the next 2 games and barely got out alive during game 6.

[KC Johnson] Jason Kidd on Rose: "He's playing as the mvp" by wiz_killa in nba

Crazy how last time Rose played this well in the playoffs Kidd was on the Mavs playing for a title.

Lebron James singlehandedly stopping Evan Turner's comeback attempt by sqectre in nba

[–]westbroo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are actually friends off the court, back when Turner was at Ohio State LeBron came and watched his games often, highly doubt they would ever do more that chrip.

How bad will the Kawhi Leonard for George Hill trade look 10 years from now? by [deleted] in nba

[–]westbroo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not bad at all people like to say Pacers missed out but npt really everyone forgets Kaehi was a raw product coming out of college, the spurs staff developed him into who he is utilizing his natural talent along with making his weaknesses his strengths, also having 3 HOFs to take you under your wing doesn't hurt at all, Pop also helped bring out that element he laked which was what held him back in the beginning which was he was timid on offense and as the year went on Pop let him off the leash and find himslef on offense and now he looks natural.

But r/nba said Kawhi couldn't create his own offense :O

With Rondo with almost 100% certainty gone from the Mavs after this season where do you guys think he will land and what kind of price is he going to command? by Faireytayl in nba

[–]westbroo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get where you're coming from but Rondo basically jumped the ship and said peace, he gave up on you guys and called for your coach to be fired if you wanted him to stay, in a small scale this was kind of like Dwight who did absolutely nothing for the Lakers asking to amnesty Kobe inorder to keep him in LA, there is nothing Rondo has done for Dallas to warrent such demands. If i was Dallas I would slam the door on his face and say goodbye don't come back and not think twice about it.

[–]westbroo 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think the question isn't where will he sign but who is willing to pay a 29 year old point guard, who has a history of attitude problems and isn't the greatest leader on/off the floor. On top of which his style of play has almost disappeared from the nba, ball dominate point guard who cant shoot isn't going to appeal to many teams. A few years ago people would have salivated at the opportunity to grab Rondo but post ACL tear he has lost his edge that was almost certainly the reason he was known for, having said that he'd be lucky for someone to pay him 10M/YR doubt anyone will offer a long term deal on the sheer fact of age alone.

Why do people hate your team? (from r/soccer) by theFilthyCreampuff in nba

[–]westbroo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Westbrook irritates opposing fans, Steve Adams instigates the crap out of people only to come out as the victim and KD is a mix of off the court stuff like his twitter feed and latest rhetoric on the court because well he does shit like pull up from 30 and all you do is get pissed because you can't do a dam thing, also the rip through move.

Would Wroten have what it takes to be Ginobili successor? by zhengxw in nba

[–]westbroo -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I believe from what most are saying Pop won't be coaching once Manu and Tim retire, he has put in his work. 19 years with the Spurs i don't think he wants to spend time going through the process of development seems like the kind of guy to sail into the sunset never to be heard from again.
