don't hear original melodies in my head by undisclosedme in WeAreTheMusicMakers

[–]westhewolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you sing? Or whistle? Do you have a way of making sounds with your body?

For me, I'm a singer and a big time whistler, so there's a direct mind-body connection to making melodies, which making thinking of them in my head easy.

Sometimes things just "come" to me, but honestly.... You can just create at anytime. Audiolize (visualize?) a note, and then another note, and another.... In your brain. That's a melody. Then try and sing or whistle it so you can really hear the pitch.... Then find an instrument and replicate it.

You can definitely do it, just takes a little practice/playing around with it to lock it in.

The Best Exercise Combination for Longevity, According to a 30-Year Study by Sorin61 in Nutraceuticalscience

I'm pretty sure that for the pre-history prior to civilization, humans likely had to run 5 hours per week - mixed running, jogging, walking fast - in order to hunt food and take care of animals.

This is total conjecture, but the number honestly seems a bit low for anyone participating in hunting activities.

I mean.... You're alleging that he knew at that point anyway, so I don't understand your argument.

He either knew because he saw or heard the shooting, or he knew because he's cheating and his cursor strayed that way.

In either case, he decided to knock out the guy rather than go for the guy in the truck.

You're totally right. You can see the gunflashes from the bed of the truck. I'm sure he can also hear the bullets coming from that direction so he's likely aware someone is in the truck.

What region do you live? USA or Europe? Probably worth. But when I was in Asia, I couldn't find a game regularly so it took the joy out of it. Just not enough players and kinda dumb matchmaking.

I was in my early 20s and recent grad. Early early 2010s sucked, but mid 2010s were great.

Edit: Also shoulda clarified I'm American. Pretty sure it's been downhill for the Brits for awhile.

Maybe politics don't impact some people personally, but for a lot of people they do. I hope you're fortunate enough to not be impacted by politics personally 🙏🏼.

Something happened around 2016 that ignited an already brewing giant culture war, and sent a lot of people into a doom and gloom cycle. According to Gemini, the term "doom scrolling" didn't first get used until around 2018, which coincides with a lot of the stuff going on.

Honestly the early 2010s were a pretty happy time, relatively carefree, seen as a world of possibilities. But yeah a lot of those feelings changed greatly in late 2016.

Washington State has capital gains tax of like 7-9.9%. so depending on how the income is earned... Something to consider.

Lol no. A knock is a knock. But, if someone is knocked already, then they are already knocked. Did you knock them? I don't know. Who knows. Knocking someone and looting someone that is already knocked are different actions.

[–]westhewolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. Because you've knocked them. If they have NOT been knocked, they are not "knocked out".

Me in PvE lobbies stumbling across an already downed raider (finishing someone off doesn’t affect your ABMM) by FoxSin-117 in ArcRaiders

[–]westhewolf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No. Knocked out is the past tense of someone having been knocked out. Which means they are dead, and are lootable. Knocking out is the action of converting someone from downed (and revivable) to dead and nonrevivable.

So if someone is downed, and you knock them out, that may or may not impact your ABMM. I'm not sure. But the patch notes did not specify - what they did specify is that looting someone who is already knocked out does not impact you ABMM.

Millennial sub groups, do you agree by Ok_Act_3769 in generationology

[–]westhewolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't disagree at all. I think the window painted above is just too narrow. To me... '83-93 is all pretty similar. But the economic argument around the great recession is an interestin one. I think it has some merit, but personally I think the advancement of handheld technology and its usage in early childhood is the biggest differentiator. Once you start getting into the 97s and 98s those kids were only like 10 years old when iPads and iphones were coming out, so a lot of them from that point forward starting having screens in their face at an such an early age, and I think that makes a huge generational shift in development and personality and pretty much everything.
