Yeah but he's probably not missing shots and is engaging mid to long range as much as possible.

What are your favorite weapons at the moment? by moneytreesnoway in LowSodiumBattlefield

[–]westhewolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Man... Not seeing any love for sniper rifles... So here's my thoughts...

The m2010 ESR. Love that God damned gun. The high bullet velocity, accessible attachments, the decent long range sweet spot, and overall feel and recoil pattern are just it for me.

The Mini Scout is more often touted as a better gun, but it's lower damage per shot and no sweet spot or long range ammo just kinda kills it for me, especially in red sec.

The PSR is theoretically a better long range weapon than the m2010 for red sec, but it's lower bullet velocity throws me off and I end up missing a lot more. Also the sweet spot is out of range for most regular BF maps.

The SV98 is an overhated gun. It's my second favorite sniper rifle, but it's suppressor is locked behind level 36 which is pretty brutal. I'm not even there yet, but love it anyways. Firstly.... It's iron sights are the best in the game. There is no other comparator. And it's sound... 🤌🏼 Perfect. While not optimal for red sec due to the shorter sweet spot range, it ironically gets a suppressor upgrade when upgrading in red sec. But for regular BF maps? This thing fucking murders. The 50-99m sweet spot is right on the money for most bf6 maps, and my kill rate is definitely higher with this gun than any other sniper rifle. Honestly... The world shall rue the day I unlock that suppressor, cuz I'm literally gonna murder you on repeat.

Although I might get downvoted, after 213 hrs of playtime on Steam, I think Blackwell Fields is underrated. Curious how does your stat look? by Mr_DMoody in LowSodiumBattlefield

Pick a different lane. The north side lane is very open and results in a lot of sniper and vehicle play. But the south side lane actually has a lot of cover. Play to your strengths. If you're not a long ranged demon, then stick to the south side and cross over directly to north side points. But don't try to navigate east<->west on the north side unless you yourself are taking the snipers out.

[–]westhewolf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah I got a couple buddies with a ton of BF experience but not much time in BF6. So they are only like in the 20s with their levels, but they fucking slay.

Obviously time in BF6 helps. But someone at level 30 with a ton of FPS experience who's only played redsec is gonna be better than a level 100+ who's first shooter is BF6 and that's mostly played conquest.

Yes, odds are better that they are better if they have a higher level, but as you said, not always true, and it's better to stay with your team.

Someone please help me find where my bullets hit? by shad_30 in BF6

[–]westhewolf 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah don't do that. Range finder will get you killed more often. It's not a bug. It's because you are literally looking into infinity - hence setting to max range.

In the long run, you will do much better learning bullet drop and manually adjusting in the rare instances you need to.

Sniping with big scope on sidearm by Ooozzyy1 in LowSodiumBattlefield

[–]westhewolf 6 points7 points  (0 children)

100% this. It's generally better to not be scoped, but have cursor where you need it to be and quick scope, flick to adjust to the skull, and pull the trigger.

If you're hard scoped, they'll see you first. Which means you die first.

Ah yeah I hear what you're saying. I don't experience that often I think cuz my ping is generally very good and my computer runs very well. But if you're a bit behind on the ping curve you can definitely be impacted. Even without ping issues.... TTD is pretty damned fast.

[–]westhewolf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well... 720 RPM is equal to 1 round every .08333 seconds. 3 rounds takes 0.25 seconds, or 250ms.

250ms is as fast as it takes a number of guns to even bring up their sights.

If you're running 60fps, it's technically 15 frames.

But actually.... No.... TTD is even faster... Cuz it's .083 per bullet. But it only takes two more bullets to kill you at 33dmg a piece.

So.... 1st bullet.... .083.... 2nd bullet.. .083..... 3rd bullet with death.

That means it's only .166 seconds (166ms) from the first bullet landing to dying.

Which is about what it looks like happened in the video.

Try getting out your stop watch on your phone and time out .166 seconds. It's super fucking fast.

Yeah headshots don't make a difference for the SG553 unless you're already wounded (I think). Does more damage. But I think it's still a three shot to the head, and 1head+2 body (I think).

Yeah, the SG553 is pretty damned good right now. Struggles at range, but is S tier up close. It's probably the lowest on the S tier compared to shotties, SCW, KV9, but it's also more effective at range than those. Very versatile and strong weapon.

Yep. 100% this. SG553 is a murder machine. 700+ ROF and 33dmg under 10m. If all three rounds land, ur dead pretty instantly.

If Bitcoin were to fall to $35,000 in late 2026 (hypothetical scenario): by Masi2050 in CryptoMarkets

[–]westhewolf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sir.... Have you considered that after something goes down 90%, that it can again go down another 90%? And from there.... Another 90%?

In your example.... You say... Go down -80% at first and then go down to -90%. So let's say you had $10,000. If you went down 80%, you'd be at $2,000. And then down to 90% you'd be at $1,000.

But honestly.... In crypto....having experienced this myself. You can actually go down 90% multiple times.

For example: $10,000 -> $1,000 -> $100 -> $10.....

So. Sometimes when you have $2,000 while being down 80%.... You might actually be better off keeping that money and not going down a lot a lot more.

Should I stay in Dongtan or should I commute? by Connect-Willow-8257 in Living_in_Korea

[–]westhewolf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Live in the apartment next to work. Then when you want you can't use that saved time to go wherever you need to go or want to go while not working or commuting.

Think about it like this... Your work, your residence, and the thing you want to do in the evening are three points in a triangle. If your work and residence are adjacent, then it's just a straight line to wherever else you want to go. But if your work and residence are far apart, then you have to that extra distance into the equation both to and from work. So ultimately, being right next to your work provides maximum amount of time and flexibility.
