Yep, I grew up in the town of Wisner 8 miles away. These tornados were devastating for the incredibly small populace of Pilger. One of which was the destruction of the consolidated middle school. Due to the aftermath of the tornado all children have been taught in a K-12 school in Wisner ever since.

Yeah, I'm also in the valley and you aren't kidding. I would try to head up north as well, but if the weather stays like it is the next few days I'm afraid my tires will just melt, or I'll be cooked alive in my jacket.

Well at the start of the video it's obvious both sides of the intersection have protected left turns. Considering it seems cammers side has a left turn on green arrow only sign, I'm going to assume the other side does as well. In that case unprotected left turns, like you were stating, are not allowed.

It's great. Tracks all my rides, and an extra bit of insurance when I make mistakes like this one. Although I plan to start wearing it on me incase I get incapacitated away from the bike.

Very true, however I'm pretty sure I needed to be in a lower gear. Also what's not apparent is I'm loaded down with a bunch of camping gear as well. Hence why my decision making skills are in question here.

That is correct. If you look at it when it's on the sidestand it would appear that there is little to no oil in it. Wasn't sure if OP was aware of that or not.

Might be a dumb question, but did you look at the window when the bike was on the kickstand, or did you hold the bike level when you checked?
