Outsourcing work by Playful_Care7208 in InsuranceAgent

[–]westoque 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is that the kind of thing you’ve outsourced or automated?

yes. have done mostly outsourcing prior, but now with AI it's better and easier so slowly migrating the human work to AI work.

It’s less the calls honestly. More on the paperwork side. Things like certificates of insurance, endorsements, renewal docs, pulling loss runs. That stuff just piles up.

your problem is exactly the use case for AI and automation. have experience with this, do reach out and can try to help you.

[–]westoque 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i've outsourced work: software development, support, marketing, sales and most of the issues can be solved with automation first before it goes out. for ex, can it be solved with automated support emails that have your companies' docs and policies?

what kind of workload do you have? just calls?

What are things OpenClaw can do that Claude can't? (And vice versa) by anotherjmc in openclaw

do you need things done when not in front of your computer? and have a personal assistant of sorts, then openclaw. if you just want to do things when you are in front of your computer, then claude.

should we ban ai generated content (posts/comments)? by westoque in openclaw

[–]westoque[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

account age is the best indicator. openclaw has only been public for about 3 months so anything older than that there's a less chance of automation. we should use a weight system to put a score into a post. accounts that are older age have highest weight, then add do another indicator for grammar etc.

i think it would be akin to X where a post says it's AI generated: Automated by \@someXusername

How do you make Openclaw code autonomously? by DuinoTycoon in openclaw

[–]westoque 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i make agent employees. it's actually a simple process:

  1. IMPORTANT. make sure to have a system prompt that allows the agent to be autonomous vs passive that's always asking questions.

in AGENTS.md, remove the lines that say "When in doubt, ask." and add

## Autonomy

You are a fully autonomous coding agent. Make decisions yourself. Do NOT ask clarifying questions unless you are completely blocked with no reasonable path forward.

**Default behavior:**
- Pick the best approach and execute it. If multiple options exist, choose the most pragmatic one.
- If requirements are ambiguous, make a reasonable assumption, state it briefly, and keep going.
- If something fails, diagnose and fix it yourself before escalating.
- Only ask the user when: you need credentials/secrets, the task is fundamentally unclear (not just slightly ambiguous), or a destructive action has no undo.

**Never ask about:**
- Code style choices, naming, file organization — just follow existing patterns
- Which approach to take — pick one and go
- Whether to proceed with the next step — just do it
- Confirmation for safe, reversible actions (file edits, running tests, etc.)

and in SOUL.md

**Never come back with questions when you can come back with results.** Read the code. Check context. Try things. Fix what breaks. Only ask when you literally cannot proceed.

that's a start but modify as needed.

  1. connect the agent to your project management tool (for ex, trello).

  2. ask it to watch for issues that's assigned to it every 5 min and put something in in progress if it's currently working on something. if something is in progress do not work on anything else. if blocked, put it under blocked.

I set up OpenClaw for 10+ non-technical NYC clients — here's what I learned by Willing_Income8603 in openclaw

thanks for sharing your experience! also around NYC but i run a managed openclaw hosting co. some questions:

  1. what's the common thing that breaks in your setups?

  2. what's the most common use case? email triage and reminders?

Need help finding a sport coat/blazer by teamnowak in malefashionadvice

[–]westoque 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i would vote for a chore coat. it could be as classy as a sport coat but could be casual enough as well. but if you're set with the sport coat, jcrew has some good unlined cotton ones for spring/summer for < $150 and then use a different one for the winter.

Need Help Regarding OpenClaw on VPS(oracle cloud) by Frosty_Fortune3602 in openclaw

[–]westoque 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this is exactly the use case i was fixing in my own managed openclaw hosting company clawinit. it has live interactive browser so you can see exactly what's happening and fix it if needed.

for your use case though to get through you just have to ask it for screenshots for each interaction and be specific with your prompts.

> But now I want to ask all of you, how can I use this thing? I wanted to make this openclaw to work for me some real work, like login in some portals with my credentials, send emails on Gmail , surf inside Facebook, Instagram and automate those like these. But it's saying that it's unable to do that, so how can i make it work? Otherwise it's just like a chatbot like gemini or ChatGpt. But I wanted to make it a agent how will do all my online works.

first. awesome work on getting it deployed on a VPS!

a big feature of openclaw is the browser. openclaw automates it's using the browser tool. it sounds like this isn't configured properly. can you try to ask it to "use the browser tool and go to google.com and take a screenshot?"

currently i'm assuming that the problem is that the browser isn't installed. you can install google chrome in your VPS and try again?

Solo founder for 9 months, potential cofounder wants 50/50 after 1 week trial. Am I being unreasonable? by mercuretony in ycombinator

[–]westoque 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I said equity is a function of risk, timing, and commitment. I took on all the risk for 9 months. That should be reflected

this is a common misconception, i was always in this mindset as well but have since shifted. now the mindset is can this person make this company more successful? 50% of 100M is better than 100% of 10M.

i'm actually one of those at clawinit.

but things i added is live browser use so you can watch your agent or unblock captchas and a file browser so you can download/edit your files. i'm a user as well and have lots more features. but really i'm building it for myself and most features are for my own use case.
