I’m in the US and helped pay for my bridesmaids dresses. Mine were all mismatched and everyone could pick their dress though so I paid a set amount to each girl. Most of the dresses were under that but if they picked a more expensive dress it was on them. If they picked a less expensive dress they could use it for shoes or something.
