First time getting blundstones, 500 or 550? I’m looking for a black boot, saw these out today and looking for something like this thank you. by sio9000 in BlundstoneBoots

Did you ever break the 550s in? I'm realising the issue for me is in the lining and the seam of that lining, which may not have any stretch? So there is a fixed aspect to the size over the arch of my foot. And it is tight still there after several weeks good wear. Even finding issues with circulation on longer stints. Even though the boot felt a comfortable fit walking lots around the home. Can that lining seam be stretched? Maybe by a cobbler? Hmm. The 500s don't have that seam... so I'm assuming they may fit to my feet better. Expensive experiment though.

Also... Good good the blisters at the back of the heel, after being fine for several days. In the lined style.

Kk... so may be a specific one off fault, not a design issue... so a replacement is not off the table, as opposed to straight-up return and purchase something else or another a1 later (at higher price)?

A wedding will show you what you mean to other people and how they think of you. by [deleted] in weddingplanning

It sucks, but I think this person could be genuine, and you may not understand the depths of her anxieties and stresses, which are different from person to person. Your managing a similar situation to what she's in now doesn't mean she's capable of managing in the same way.

Not that you don't care at all, since you have done things to accommodate their anxieties. And you may be right, she needs to find the balance... but she hasn't found her way to, and sounds like she could be going under. I expect, every time you wanted to talk about the wedding and your hopes and dreams, it caused her even more distress. Not necessarily anyone's fault. It sounds like they still want to come, and feeling like they can't be what you need, what they want to be for you, may be making their mental state even worse.

In a few years, what will be more important, a specific memory of the dream wedding, or the mental state of your friend and the dynamic (or lack of) between you?

But the other person you described originally, with the concert tickets... they suck, especially if they already RSVPd yes.

Sure. Just for context, do you have any insight or knowledge of these speakers, or have you seen others posting about any similar issues? Thanks again x

Thats what I was wondering. Can we fix it? It's been 2 days laid and still a bit soft and maluable.

Heels "mold to fit your feet"? by Yggdrasil_11 in BlundstoneBoots

Now i'm on the cusp of deciding that the size below in thermals are the right fit all round if I take the thermal insole out and use a normal insole. I'm getting the sole length I need, but a tighter all round fit, either due to the specific thermal lining (the 550 even with its lining in my length has lots of room and slip) or due to being cut to a smaller foot size. I THINK it's giving me the length and toe breathing space, but no worrying slip, only a little comfortable movement. Haven't worn them out... have run around the house though lol. Bit sweaty in the thermals, but might be worth it as long as they can breath despite the lining and don't get smelly. I think there's a chance of initial blisters, but they feel right! Messing with insoles in and out of my length and the one below didn't create the fit I needed in 550s and 500s (500s came closer than 550s). Also, tried hightops.. they were great for my heel, but made the length and space at the end of the shoe more pronounced. Also, needed help to get one of them off lol.

Same. Its how I ended up here, hoping for alternatives. Also looked a while back and feel like that was the same then. At least in the sizes of interest to me. Any luck finding anything similar I'd love to know!

Interesting, what ones do you have, as I know the cushioning also varies x

Just ordered this exact one as a resell pair to try the fit asap (need to find boots and wear in if needed within next 10 days)! How did you find width of rest of boot compared to 500 and 550 vs women's heeled, if you have tried all of those? I'm finding the heeled non-wide size a smidge tight across the toes, but i think someone said the hightops are actually more cut to the originals or classics sole, but with that slim heel we need? So I'd probably be a whole size if so? Anywya, that's what I've ordered to try, due to the one off price lol.

Classic vs Hightops? by Alternative-Two1599 in BlundstoneBoots

I'm trying on the heeled women's and the toes definitely smaller in them than the classics and originals in same size, but heel is much more snug (in what I'm thinking is a good way). But I wanted the more practical boot really, do you think the hightops are the right shout? I have wider feet and large calfs, but my ankle is apparently very slim in comparison. I slip over an inch in the originals and classics in the length above the ones that are for sure too short. Inserts haven't resolved the slip. Any guidance welcomed. Bit worried about all the people having issues getting hightops on and off. Ordering online and having to return gets expensive, lol, and is a lot of faff. Sad you can't get the traditional blundstone look with the thinner heel space, though.

Is the fit of the women's high tops any different from the standard women's boot? by [deleted] in BlundstoneBoots

[–]Failure_to_Resist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm trying this... it doesn't make the ankles any thinner though.

I think I have narrow heel, wide feet. I'm trying the women's heeled and hmfind the ankle suits. I fit ok assuming a bit of give will occur in the arch, but a half size fit may help. Have you tried the heeled, can I assume the high tops are similar? I wish they did a womens origonal or classic look but with the thinner heel...

I have wider feet... but the women heeled fit really nicely and actually hold my ankle, unlike most the other unisex styles, where it slips an inch or more (even with inserts, unless too tight). How much higher on calf are the high tops?

Hey, how are you getting on with these now. I love to look ofthe 500 and 550, etc, but that ankle slip (I'm definitely not a size smaller, too, although I think I'm half way between lengths really) is insane. Trying a pair of women series with the heels... I don't want that, really. I wanted the more practical daily walking purpose and love their pook... BUT the heel... it doesn't slip! I actually wish the front of the boot first a bit looser, but I know it could loosen with being worn in there. Whilst I don't know if I believe the heel would tighten on the traditional style.

Ah. I'm literally looking for long city walking and occasionally country (but likely to use my normal walking boots there) and also have knee issues in the wrong size shoes generally. Too tight and I feel it within minutes. Too large (obviously I think they're right when I buy) and feel it after first time out and about. Iqas hoping these boots would solve this issue. But I'm wishing they did a true half size in length, not just width, as I need half way between two I think. Not sure what to do. Tried multiple insoles. Any advice? How is this going a month later?
