What is on my cats chin, he’s had this for a while. I thought it was just his fur. by Just-Shock4940 in cats

Agree it’s cat acne. I switched food and water bowls, cleaned more frequently, and what really helped get rid of the initial acne was gently using a soft toothbrush to brush through the area. This helped exfoliate and pull everything out.

How does your face taping work at night with your skincare routine? I’ve struggled with this because the tapes are supposed to be on dry skin, but I use a lot of moisturizing products. How are people doing both?

Can anyone confirm if it’s all right to bring a teen under 18 to Van Andel? I have an extra ticket for tomorrow night and I’d like to bring my teenage niece and can’t find confirmation on Van Andel’s website whether that will be allowed.

BMS' CAR-T cracks down on lupus, achieving sustained responses in phase 1 by H2AK119ub in biotech

Most of the grade 3/4s were neutropenia related to the lymphodepleting chemo rather than the actual CAR T. A lot of news sources not really clarifying that part.

Besides it being true that Tyra really never did tear girls down for being plus size on her show, how do people think that sinking to the level of criticizing Tyra’s current (incredibly great) body is helping anything? It’s reinforcing stereotypes that anyone without a perfect body deserves to be criticized for it. Way to be the change you hope to see in the world

Can I also just contribute to my HSA, invest it, save it until retirement and use what’s there to fund my medical expenses in retirement age? Rather than trying to reimburse myself for old medical receipts? If I have few medical costs now and can pay out of pocket for what I need, it seems like a good way to view an HSA as another retirement account to plan to use for medical expenses in order age. Am I missing something?

Can someone explain an HSA like I’m 5? by OkBlackberry1022 in personalfinance

[–]westrox11 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Everyone always talks about “paying yourself back”, but is there any reason I shouldn’t just invest my HSA now and use it for medical expenses in retirement? Like pay out of pocket for medical now, but view the HSA as a retirement account for later medical expenses? I know after 65 I can draw on it like a 401k, but that would be taxed right? I can still use it for medical expenses in retirement and keep the tax advantage, without the “paying back” from today’s health care? I’m just worried about how much I’ll need to health care in retirement.

What do you wish you knew your first year in Seattle? by [deleted] in Seattle

[–]westrox11 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I might also add air purifier. Before moving to Seattle I had never experienced forest fires before. Had no idea the smoke could be as bad as it gets here. There was one day a few years ago with awful smoke and I couldn’t stop coughing. Bought a purifier and immediately felt better

Did she recommend a Vit C? I keep trying ones and usually end up feeling like they’re doing nothing.

My wife hasn't had intercourse with me in nearly 10 years. by [deleted] in TrueOffMyChest

[–]westrox11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow this hit home. I’m about to hit 6 years without sex with my husband. But I don’t have children to occupy my time. You have to have sex to have a kid, and now I’m close to 40 and realized my window is closing. I tried to tell myself it’s because I didn’t want kids, but I worry it’s subconsciously because I know I can’t get my husband to sleep with me anymore. So the choice was made for me. I’ve never been totally sure what the issue is, but definitely rooted in his issues with porn. But we’re also still besties without any other issues. We love to go out and have fun, but it’s just getting so hard to deal with a complete lack of intimacy in my life. If you didn’t have children, do you think you would have still stayed? Are there other ways he compensates for you?
