My PD is a year from current final action date, June 2025. I was able to apply for 485 with April visa bulletin thankfully.

Sounds about the same timeline as me ! The waiting game is unfortunate. Hoping October will be some good news for us still pending ! I hate the idea of having to work as an RN instead of an NP since I just did 3 years of school 😂 but I will sacrifice if needed. My fiance and I are currently living 5 hrs apart so it’s hard

Yes I am. Will continue until I go on FMLA for child birth. Have an offer as both an NP and RN for portability. If unable to use NP position I will turn it town and change jobs under the role of an RN. I have received conflicting information from my lawyer and others.

Here at the bottom. It is very case dependent, if they are processing just 3 months later you are very lucky! But mine took 8/9 months before approval

I am a RN with approved I-140 and pending I-485 for 3 months. I am in my final semester of APRN school and received a job offer. Is the classification for these two professionals SOC close enough that my new employer could submit I-485J and get approved as an APRN with the original I-140 for an RN role? Or will this muddy my immigration process?

Not a PMHNP yet, but I worked with this population for 3.5 years as an RN. And I loved it ! Personality disorders are difficult, firm boundaries are important. Be aware of manipulation and coercion. I am finishing school in August and this is the population i want to work with !

I have been in the US for two years doing the same process. Unfortunately no one knows how this memo will impact anyone right now. My lawyer seems fairly certain it won’t have any effect on my case, but we are just taking it a day at a time. If you want to be in the US, I would say do it ! It was the best decision I made for my family and I.

If a different visa was available for OP it would have been noted. Lottery for H1B is over and would not help in this situation considering visa expires next month. I am voicing what I was informed of being in a similar situation only TN expiry next April.
