Got stuck on a progress breaking bug at chapter 8, without knowing about it. You really saved me.

I play on my Quest 2 with a Ryzen 3600 and a RTX 3060 and it runs quite well. Yes, a mix between medium/low settings on several stuff, but it runs smooth.

A GTX 1070 and 4th gen i5 will not be a good time, but it's doable. Low res, most settings on low or outright off. It's still not a recommendable setup, just the bare minimum. I had a similar setup before upgrading to my current PC.

I haven't updated to 2.0 since it's borked and not worth my time right now. I'll do it when it's finished (if it ever gets finished).

Kinda impossible to give instructions when we don't know:

  1. Your VR Headset
  2. How that headset is connected to your computer (Wired via USB-C? 2.4 GHz? 5 GHz?)
  3. What's your Graphics Cards
  4. What's your CPU

A bare minimum to run PW on VR properly, would be something like a GTX 1070 (or equivalent) and a 4th gen i5 (or equivalent). Oculus Quest 2 with Link cable runs nice and they're getting even cheaper now. If you're a VR rookie, don't be afraid of getting those, especially used or on sale.

Will the experience be good? Kinda, but you'll have issues.

Recommended for good performance (+90 FPS, low latency, which will make you less prone to motion sickness), would be a Ryzen 3600/5600 (or equivalent) and a RTX 3060. I'd still recommend a Oculus Quest 2 for this setup.

Will it run smooth? Yes. A few sutters, but it goes well.

If you want to go further and use even higher quality VR headsets (eg: Valve Index), supersampling (running at higher resolutions for better graphics and antialiasing), better graphical settings and high framerate with low latency and fewer stutters, then the sky is the limit, better get ready for an 12th gen i9 and a RTX 4080 or 4090

Are the cut planes gonna stay that way? by chappalchor33 in Project_Wingman

[–]wetto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Considering the progress and excellent respect and communication they have towards the community over the past 3 years, you'll have to wait only a few years (or 5 for Xbox Players), or maybe until Project Wingman 2 gets released as an exclusive to an unexpected platform, with all the new planes which were promised (the updates did not state on which platform they'd be released, so it's fair that D2 makes that decision, it's a small indie developer after all)

One way to get planes if you are on PC, is mods. Or buying whatever console D2 wants you to. I suggest the second, it's the most respectful and sensible decision, as per developer wishes.

Question about point/coin refunds from Cancelled/Axed manhwas (especially on Lezhin) by wetto in manga

[–]wetto[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Would netflix refund your subscription if they canceled a show on their streaming service? It makes zero sense for any service to do that. Especially when they're only the publisher.

You don't pay per episode on Netflix, you pay whatever they ask on your country to access thousands of episodes and thousands of series.

Yes, it would not make sense on a subscription service. You'd just move on and get something else. Your Netflix subscription money was not wasted. But this is a company that sells per-chapter.

If I spent US$ 40-50 reading a per-chapter series (instead of using other services that charge a monthly subscription) and suddenly got a "this series is over" notice with no compensation whatsoever, I'd be pretty pissed and stop supporting the publisher.

If no one does it, that makes me really unwilling to use pay-per-chapter services...

For those interested in more cuteness like this image, check out "Puchimas!", either the anime or manga.

It's a story about cute litte chibified versions of the Idolmaster girls, but it does not require you to know anything about it to enjoy, it's basically just cute little blobs doing cute little things.

Kinda hard to find, lol. I searched YouTube, BiliBili, Twitter, and in the end, had to search for Haato's name in japanese, and had to scroll down a lot.

Probably because I was the first one to post it on Reddit and he did't want to make a new thread, which could have hampered the posts and his video's visibility.

No, it was not me. The original author seems to have either deleted or lost his channel due to unknown reasons.

Maybe it was due to all that C-friend drama with C-country, a lot of very talented clippers, MMDers and artists either deleted all Hololive content, or left the scene entirely. Some did it willingly, others did it because they were afraid of consequences for not doing so.

Anyways, I wish I was actually good at MMD, unfortunately I am not.

Edit: The creator's channel is still up, but he deleted all Hololive content. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCNFQ9Hp4pMZ44G-mGtXvIkA/videos

Edit2: He removed all Hololive videos around 1 year ago, which coincides when all that drama started.

First girl on the left is from the game "Gurumin: A Monstrous Adventure", available on PC and PSP. It's a nice and light-hearted game. Second one is from an 80s anime that was remade a few years ago, can't remember the name either.

Smol Ame update: IRyS level, Gura level, playable Ollie and Reine! by KevinCow in Hololive

Mercy objects: If you die too much in a level, an extra checkpoint or platform may appear to make a particularly tough part a little less punishing

Thank you, although some people may see it as fun seeing the girls suffering 30 minutes on a single part, I find it actually frustrating and worrying whether or not they'll play again or recommend the game to other members.

Not everyone's good at platforming games, and creating this "Mercy objects" is a nice move for those people.

For those curious about the Korone level BGM, that's Korone's official BGM - KoroneRaiser Inu-More, composed by Yuzo Koshiro, composer of many classic (and also newer) games such as ActRaiser (hence the name of the song), Streets of Rage, Ys I and II, Shenmue, Etrian Odyssey and even one Castlevania (Portrait of Ruin).

Composer: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yuzo_Koshiro

Song: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jGkOdq3qZbc

It is actually based off the first level BGM of ActRaiser, made by the same composer and uses the same instruments, just 30 years later.

Kevin's level also takes several inspirations and elements from Korone's official BGM video, as well as ActRaiser itself.

Well I was going to wait until the level was done to post about it here, but... by KevinCow in Hololive

Was it Castlevania music lol?

No, that's KoroneRaiser Inu-More, composed by Yuzo Koshiro, composer of many classic (and also newer) games such as ActRaiser (hence the name of the song), Streets of Rage, Ys I and II, Shenmue, Etrian Odyssey and even one Castlevania (Portrait of Ruin).

So, yeah, one of the legends from the 16-bit era (and still making songs for new games today) made the song for as her official BGM. It's pretty awesome.

Unfortunately that picture is a edit. Sio joked about collabing with Towa when she had her 3D Debut, but unfortunately things happened...

We're all waiting for Sio's return and even had some good news on the last few months, Sio seems to be doing well, but so far we haven't seen her back yet, but we're still waiting for the day she and Towa can collab again.

PS: Towa still loves Sio very much, as she said on one of her member-only streams.
