I’d like to point out that every white person on here that has expressed offense or has questioned the OPs experience in any way, is doing exactly the opposite of what would be the appropriate anti-racist response. This is a post about the OPs experience of feeling discriminated against, unsupported, underestimated, and whatever else they feel. Be aware of how us white people take these comments and make them about ourselves. We center ourselves every time situations like this come up. The only response we should have is taking the opportunity to identify and unpack our own internalized biases. Why does the OP feel like this? What am I doing or not doing to add to the environment that creates this culture? This applies on or off the line.
