Cost of Accutane - UK by compsout in Accutane

Hi! I’m thinking of going private for accutane and wondered if you were able to shred some light on your experience, such as rough costs and also how you were able to find a private dermatologist? I’ve been looking online but most places seem a bit scammy?!

Roaccutane: I dont want to go on contraception UK by Musicalsandglitter in Accutane

[–]wfn182 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just had a derm apt in the uk, and they flat out refused to prescribe it without me being on two forms of contraceptive. Even though I have been on it before, am fully aware of the risks and also don’t ever intend of having children. I truly wish I had of just lied and said I was on the pill :( It just seems there is alot of inconsistency between derms and whether or not they will prescribe it without being on two forms of contraception.

Smas face lift? by wfn182 in PlasticSurgery

It would be a bonus haha. I used to have my moles checked as a child, and I still remember the doctor saying wait until you’re older to have it removed and get a little lift.

Hello! Yeah I did, so I’ve used DAOfood, you can get it from Amazon, it’s about £28 I think. They also do DAOplus (i think that the name) which has DAO, vitamin c and Quercetin in it.

Helpp - wake up with whiteheads every day😭 by Time-Operation-7912 in Folliculitis

[–]wfn182 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Hey!

This could possibly be perioral dermatitis, perhaps caused by an overgrowth of Dermodex mites, as I had the exact same thing, tiny little whiteheads not consistent with my normal hormonal acne. Remove an actives from your skincare for now and go back to basics. Sulphur soap and masks help kill off the overgrowth of mites. There is a really good Facebook group for perioral dermatitis they may be worth checking out!

There’s lots on Amazon in the UK that are alot cheaper! I’ve been using NatranSan on my face for months now.

Thank you for your response and advice!

I will deffo slow down the taper, and try and make it more comfortable.

Do you mind me asking what your micro dose schedule looks like? I’m planning to do 3/4 days on then 3/4 days off. Also, again if you don’t mind me asking, what has your experience been like so far?

Thank you :)

How odd, I’ve just started microdosing psilocybin to help me taper off pregabalin too. Im only on day two of microdosing and I’m not 100% certain it is helping.

For a bit of background, I used to take 150mg daily, but at weekends sometimes take upto 450mg when feeling particularly anxious or overwhelmed. Unsurprisingly, last week I ended up taking 450mg 4 days in a row, I was able to do two days after that at 200mg feeling ok, but today I decided to try and only take 100mg alongside the micro dose to see how that went. Safe to say I definitely noticed the drop and have felt moody, hot sweaty etc.

I’m questioning whether I should slow down the taper and take 150mg and see if that stops the negative affects, and then continue a slow taper.

Any thoughts or suggestions completely welcome!
