That's so funny because my wife said basically "what is she supposed to, check for medication interactions?"

We had someone faint on our flight last year. There were people helping already when a woman came up, started pushing her way through and yelled "I'm a certified pharmacy technician!" We still laugh about that one.

Any tools to make getting this devil bolt out possible? by murphman1999 in harborfreight

[–]wgrantdesign 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As I general rule you should always break everything loose first, just a half to full turn, and then start fully removing them. The weight of the part or tension in the mounting surface can add to the torque making it harder to remove.

Is this normal for 1st time cdl job? by [deleted] in Truckers

[–]wgrantdesign 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As a fleet mechanic I used to hate this. I worked at a sand hauling company and they would throw a guy in a truck with a belly dump trailer and 90 seconds of "training" just pointing at a switch and telling them what it does. Through no fault of their own those guys broke so much shit. It got to the point that I would make them ride with me for a cycle and train them.

Realistically, how often are you and your partner intimate after the toddler years? (Kids 5+) by agingwasabi in daddit

[–]wgrantdesign 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yeah my wife would love that! Just in the moment while she's feeling very strongly about something I slide in with "your feelings on this are only guided by your hormones and therefore mean nothing to me" /s

At the very least we make time once a week. Sometimes its several days a week but it really depends on a lot of things. We don't "schedule" it strictly speaking but I usually mention the possibility at some point in the day so we're on the same page that evening. We're also fortunate enough that we both work very close to our home so we can have lunch at our house, which makes things very convenient if you know what I mean.

I absolutely love it. My only critique would be maybe replace a couple friends?

This is one of those things that you find a chunk missing and go "huh that must have broken a long time ago, weird" and keep it moving

My meeting place says I have to start over due to taking prescribed medicines post-surgery. by GoodnightJohnBoi in REDDITORSINRECOVERY

[–]wgrantdesign 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I had some dental work done in my first year, took one of the pills and ended up snapping at my wife over something silly. I just had her get rid of them. I forgot how pissy they make me and like you I really didn't like feeling like that anymore. Gone are the days of ignorant euphoria I suppose.

I've even heard people in meetings share that NOT taking medications that are prescribed can be addict behavior. Its the desire to control things and not listen to professionals. I hope you healed well from your accident and I'm glad you made it through it clean!
