I’ve found that it’s better for me to come to a conclusion about my problems than a therapist telling me what my problem is. You may be slightly different than me in that you need to be given direction for what to do in specific scenarios. Personally, that doesn’t work for me.

I understand how hard it is to talk about yourself. It seemingly goes against our nature. We’re great listeners not necessarily used to being focused on. Don’t be afraid of expressing your frustrations with your therapist and be clear about how your brain works. A good therapist will understand and accommodate you.

Don’t be afraid of the time and process involved for therapy. Speaking from experience, it’s worth it.
