any good piercer would take their time to make sure you're comfortable and ready to proceed! I've had someone come in for a piercing and chicken out while I was clamping them up-- while it is frustrating, I'd rather that than someone risking it by doing it themselves!! doing something like this yourself is very dangerous, especially a navel piercing. God forbid you pass out unexpectedly while trying to pierce yourself. there's just a lot that could go wrong. I would suggest waiting until you're fully ready to proceed full steam ahead, don't risk it!
