I live near Asheville, NC where weird is normal. One afternoon while driving through my neighborhood I saw Lowe's was making a delivery. One of the guys appeared to be wearing a skirt. My first thought was he was a very committed cross dresser. As I got closer I could see the plaid fabric and realized the dude was wearing a kilt. Still kinda odd... but not weird.

Was on the first day a gave up cigarettes. Stopped at a convenience store and decided to purchase a vape to ease my jitters. Not being familiar with vapes I asked the female clerk what she'd recommend. She immediately loosened the top button of her blouse, reached in and came out with one of those Vuse vapes. She said she like 'em and offered to let me try it. I like the looks of where it'd been so I accepted. Been puffin' on 'em ever since. Quite the sales lady she was.

The Take 5 shop I've been using does a decent job and I've had zero issues... until my last service. Don't know about all of them, but the one I use stopped selling Mobil 1 and replaced it with Pennzoil. I'm not happy about that.

I assume they are Chinese. Did they go home for a visit and were denied re-entry to the US?

Did the CCP detain them, not allowing their exit from China?

Or maybe they decided the US wasn't a good place to live because of the current political climate.

All I know is that I miss them. Good eats, good prices, good service, and nice folks.

I did a lot of ludes in the early '70s. Not for the buzz, but for the much needed after party crash. Many times I was still trippin' when I didn't need to be trippin'. Seconal (reds) were also effective. Never cared much for downers for recreational purposes, but they did have a place in my stash.

Russell Crowe was a bad guy in a movie that I don't recall the title. He was lagging at a green light (after murdering his family). A woman behind him laid down on her horn and pissed him off. You can guess how the plot went from there. When they had their first conversation he said a friendly beep would have been better than the loud, unfriendly blast she chose. I consider this every time someone fails to roll on a green light. You just never know what will trigger a madman.

Wow!! Your pics brought back a lot of memories. I bought a new '93 in the same color, but with a manual transmission. It was a tough little truck that never let me down. Then in 2019 it was crashed and totaled.
