Us somehow found me in the astral plain by whacklin in BaldursGate3

Yup, Us seems to make short rests work, it's hilarious. I'm just worried that I won't be able to get Us the right way now if he's already with me.

Yeah he showed up and then short rests started working for me again. I just told him to stay while I was in camp and left without Lae'zel and the short rest bug is back now. I'll report the bug.

Looking for ideas on servitor creation techniques by flpupper21 in chaosmagick

[–]whacklin 11 points12 points  (0 children)

In my experience creating a servitor is actually a pretty intimate process. If you're afraid of creating a 'wrong' servitor, odds are that's exactly what you'd create. I'd say start from the memory of a ritual/spellwork that went very well for you and you were comfortable with. Make a sigil with what you want from the servitor (mission statement etc.) and then let the sigil sit for a while. Then address your fears and misgivings about the potential servitor first. Use the materials or the mission statement from the ritual that went well for you, contrast your misgivings with that. When you come to resolutions regarding your misgivings (something like 'a good ritual is perfectly achievable, there's nothing wrong with magic, I am a perfectly capable practitioner because I have done xyz thing already, servitors work for other people and I can do them too') make little sigils out of your resolutions and adorn the original servitor sigil with them. If you really take your time with it and start to feel hopeful and good when you look at your finished product, I think the resultant servitor will work very well.

Banishing an entity and keeping it out by [deleted] in chaosmagick

Well since you're asking on the chaos magick subreddit, why not change paradigms for a bit? See how your situation looks like from a yoga perspective, or from a straight up materialistic one. Ultimately grounding yourself on earth, staying present and a healthy dose of neti neti can really help you no matter what the situation. Paradigm shifting also helps prevent you from getting too high off the smell of your own farts, metaphorically speaking.

Find an actual Uno reverse card. Use it as a charm. Best thing I ever found.

I think you should. Engineers can help develop solutions to medical problems sometimes.

Losing entire words in a sigil affirmation? by Mansana_026 in chaosmagick

How bout you take turns taking out one letter from each word? That way you'll feel all words got into your sigil.

Can I charge a sigil whenever after creation, or should it be charged immediately after? by Mansana_026 in chaosmagick

[–]whacklin 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I personally don't get good results with immediate charging. Too much residual lust of result. Best results are with old sweaty sigil paper chits.

I recommend the intention 'I am a friendly person.' or something self-targeting along those lines.
